Any word on when Sony will fix our pet issue in KoS? Meaning ever so often my pet bugs the group, showing in combat mode...I have to destroy pet everytime this happens. Now i dont even bother buffing the pet in TT if i know i gotz to kill him in like 10-15min. Also groups may pass over a Necro knowing this bug exists? I dont think its that major in deciding groupage, but its very annoying! Also at times when i cast my dogs they stick with me and not on mob. I can do without the loyalty and just have them keeel please!!!!  Anyone else have a work around for this or know when Sony will look at this?

As far as I've seen in-game, this only happens when grouped with zerkers. Their true aoe taunt hits the pet and will lock them in combat, and usually locks any healers in combat as well(because they healed something that was on the pet's hate list). If you group with a zerker, tell him to avoid using his aoe taunt if possible.

That kind of defeats having a Tank class in your group now doesn't it?

Didn't say I like it, but it's the only solution until they fix it. Zerkers have the option to not use that specific taunt or wait 20+ seconds for a summoner to resummon and buff a pet everytime. Or they could just avoid grouping with them. :smileytongue:

I've grouped with a Zerker CONSISTENTLY since KoS (a guildmate) and haven't had this "stuck in combat" thing very often at all. Like 2-3 times TOPS. So I wouldn't be so certain on this assertion that it's a Zerker ability problem.

I notice pets bugging groups all the time (not just summoner). From what I and other necros in my guild have gathered, this happens when your pet is in Protect Yourself or Protect Me mode, has some aggro because of that but never actually gets aggro from the mob. Something to do with this causes the pet to bug random members of the group. Regardless my pet and others bug the group all the time even if a zerker is not in the group.

I guess that could be it, as I NEVER have my pet on protecting me deliberately while grouped. While grouped, it's the assassin, and it has neither of those options on (if I get hit by a random AE, I don't want my pet beating on whatever hit me).

The combat bug only happens if someone has a pet up and its not in total passive mode when i afight ends (pet can not have protect itself or you turned on).

When this happens I just tell people in group that I'm watching their power and will kill pet when it gets low.I also noticed something new last night. Was on my first raid since getting undead tide. It would appear that if these die by aoe then you get a hate transfer because I was pulling agro last night like I have never pulled before. Pretty sure it was undead tide and so it has pretty much been binned by me on raids.

My understanding of it, its it has nothing to do with pets at all.  It has to do with the PvP servers and the way hate is bult up now.  Becuase of the way PvP works, hate has to disapate from you now, and just not go "poof" when you kill a mob.  If your stuck on combat just sit for 15secs and it will go away. 

I wish I could find the post on were I read this and link it.

Seems like reasons explaining this bug are all over the map  from zerker ae's to pvp hate dissipation. I can attest it does NOT only happen with Zerkers, a SK is consistently my tank and it happens with my group frequently. I does however happen alot more with  a zerker as a tank.  But the time I grouped where it was happening almost every single fight was when a Guardian was tanking and a zerker was off tanking and tryign to provide dps.  It probably does have to do with AE and definitely needs to be fixied

I have not tested putting the pet in total passive mode yet, but this problem needs to be fixed, we shouldn't have to do that or ask the zerker not to aoe. 

As for the pvp and hate dissipating I have seen this also.  I think the group is bugged and am about to kill my pet to fix it and then like 5-10 secs later everyone gets out of combat.  This is a seperate issue I believe and really wouldn't be big imho if they fixed the main issue of the pet bug.  I am disappointed that neither of these were fixed with this last big patch as I rank it pretty high on disturbing my game play and my groups

I have not really grouped with zerkers since all this started, but I group with SK's a lot from my guild and the getting stuck in combat happens all the time.  As for the swarm pets not leaving my side, that has happened off and on for some time now, even before the stuck in combat thing started.  You send them out and they just stand there and will even follow me after the mob is dead.

Not sure about the passive thing but this IS a definite problem that needs fixed. Theres nothing else to say, its a pain in the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] bug that needs to be fixed.
