Just a few quick tips I picked up in beta that might make your life a bit easier.

Torrential Plague:

Many Necromancers I speak to ignore this spell remembering its low damage and long cast time from pre revamp. This has changed a lot for the better. Its cast time is quicker, it now does a dd and dot damage to all encounter mobs not just initial dd. Tie this into the lich siphon proc which triggers on all encounter mobs hit (side note: this may have changed - will parse damage and edit in an update) and you have a very power effective dot doing substantial damage.

Siphon Life/Ghastly Stench cycle.

An easy way to time this cycle is to include the Ghastly Stench in a HO cycle (while soloing of course). Start with Siphon Life, HO trigger + 2 x Stench = Siphon Life good to go again. No need to nmonitor spell icon for reusability.

Lich and Root:

Root is quite resistant to dot damage but dislike DD damage a lot. Your dd nukes tend to break root far more often. With this in mind, remember the siphon proc built into our lich form. Even if using dots with no initial dd component, the proc will greatly increase the chance of root breaking. Cancel it of you need to maintain root for a long time.

PBAOE vertical component.

Our PBAOE spells such as Accursed Cloud have a limited vertical distance as well. Be careful of using these in the Maj'Dul guard towers for instance as you may pull down the mobs from above or below you.

Root and Fear.

Not many necros seem to know that you can Fear a rooted mob. The effect of this is two fold. The mobs do not strike back at your pets as often, just that odd fear swipe they tend to do when feared alone. This can greatly reduce the damage your pet is taking while controling the position of the mob. It also allows dumbfire/swarm pets to wail away in safety rather than be the brunt of the mobs aggression leading to gtheir demise and subsequent loss of dps.

I hope a few of you find these tips useful. I will edit in more as I remember them.

Sark.
