Advice needed for 25 necro on Pit Champion

I have undying aherant at Adept 1, most of my dmg spells at Adept 1, and boon of the lifeless at app 1 (getting app4 or adept 1 today) I keep getting to the boss, tried 3 times now.. 1st time i got him to 40 or so, 2nd time like 90 (he jumped me almost right away and wouldnt come off) and 3rd try I had him at 20% So I have a couple questions I seem to be losing aggro too early on my pet and he pretty much owns me after that, I have to do some dmg because the pet dies too fast otherwise but I cant seem to keep aggro on the pet. Also, it didnt give me a 2 hour timer until the 3rd fail..is this common or was it just bugged to let me try over and over again? Fight tactics or any advice is appreciated.

I have noticed 2 dots maintained on mob while an adept3 tank pet hacks away keeps aggro. Any more nukes/ HO's and i pull aggro.

If I pull aggro,

1.try petrify and running away

2. tank it and go crazy on nukes and damage.

Also, if you keep running in circles while the mob hits you from behind then you seem to get hit less. I may be wrong but I have observed it a few times.

I killed him at level 25. All I did was have the pet tank, throw on rats at 80% and heal the pet. If you want to throw on more dps after he loses his power and you can snare him go for it. Anything more and I found I grabbed agro. Adept3 soothe servant helps greatly if you don't have it.

Pet seems to not survive the fight for that long, I only have soothe servant at adept 1. I dont seem to be able to keep up the heals chain casting it, the pet slowly dies. I tried to dot some to speed up mobs death but that just grabs me aggro. I dont have a snare that im aware of? I do the run in circles bit and that helps but once hes on me he stays till death. Thanks for the advice so far.

Imbued shadow hex doll has a snare to it.

You can also try dispelling arcane on him when he casts his damage shield to help your pet live a little longer.

I didnt know he had a damage shield ) Thanks for that, I can buy the hex dolls or where do I get them or are they player made? Sorry im still learning alot of this )

Player made. Find a 29+ tailor and give him the semi-rare and pay him to make one OR buy one off the broker.

Also the champion seems to spawn as a couple different types of mobs. Sometimes he can spawn as a fighter type that can be easily kited and sometimes he spawns as a healer type that can cast a damage shield on himself and will own you if you try to kite him and he still has power.

FYI I won today, thanks for the advice.

I upgraded the boon of the lifeless to app 4 and pet never lost aggro, also got hex but didnt need it for him.

I didnt get any message after the fight for faction... Should i have?

Not unless you did Harclaves, Supply Run, Crawlers, or Find Your Companions. The find your companions seems to only work for some mind you, but you need to complete three of these to gain faction ( the solo arena counts as one, need 3 total)

Be sure you are casting Grisly Mark on the champ and I'd be looking to use petrify as much as i can. Once you get your heal over time it should be much more doable.

At level 30 I have not lost a fight yet in 4 atempts (the last one was close, but still killed him. Right before he walks out, cast Mend Bones (HoT), its not much, but doesnt pull aggro to heal. Then cast the hounds. Once the pet hits him with some special attacks he has a decent hold for aggro, so when your pet gets to about 50% cast Sooth Servent and Mend Bones right afterwards. Hit the champ with another Dot (but not too many damage based spells as you dont want to pull aggro), then just try to simply maintain your pets health. Keep yourself warded because if he does get to you, that ward keeps you alive at least for one more hit. The fight takes about 4 minutes to complete because I have casted the dogs twice on him in the past.

I fear that at level 25, you may still be slightly underpowered to take him. Hang out until around level 30, and you should have some better spells to go after him.

EDIT: Just read back through and noticed that you have already taken him...WTG Dorothymestik
