Sorry, newb Conjurer question??

My main is a Swashy and have been in search for an alt to become my "2nd main". I truly believe that I have found this in my Conjurer that dindged 20 last night. I grasp that there are going to be different pets for different situations. Last night was the first time I actually grouped with him. Up until that point, I only played him when I had limited play time. I ran into an issue when I was grouped that I can't figure out. I always assist the MT, but I could not get my pet to assist the MT, or at least it seemed like it. The only thing I could think to do was tell the pet to attack the MT, which he went up to the tank, but it doesn't look like he was doing anything. Am I doing this correctly. I don't want to be one of those Conjurers that no one wants to group with.

Your pet DOES assist through the main tank if you have them targetted. Most just don't have extreme animations when attacking, so it may not look like he's doing much. Check your combat spam, you'll see he is attacking SMILEY

Look above the mob, you should see newly colored numbers. Gray numbers are groupmate damage, orange numbers are your spell/melee damage, and yellow numbers are your pet(s) damage. (I may have mixed up orange and yellow, but you get the idea). Good visual proof that your pet is contributing.

I should have known that, I am not a newb. I guess I spaced it out. I have all the combat spam on another chat screen and forget to ever look there.:smileyhappy:
