Must-have items for dps Illusionist?

What are the must-have items for dps build illusionists? I'm mainly looking for items with hostile spell procs, but anything else that impacts our dps more than just it's int value is appreciated.

lets put it simply - if ur on a raid and a piece of euqipment drops that has a damage spell proc, u need it. end of story.

There are some pretty nifty items that you can get from around the place, especially in EoF that have effects on them like "Increases damage of spells by XX" as well as Grizfazzle's walking stick. We are Illusionists, so every little bit helps when it comes to maxing out our dps. I'm fairly happy with what I can put out on raids if I go all out and run my power to the bottom for each encounter. Using your pet helps a lot too, and with the new updates coming in it shouldn't be an idiot and run right up into Melee range which will be nice. Using your aa choices wisely will also help you maximise your dps. The int line ( I think) has a increased spell crit buffs and the like on, as well as the Time line for the new Illusionist aa tree that adds extra damage to all our main dots. As I said, every little helps really seen as we are hardly burst dps machines, but its our low power usage and regen that lets us get the edge in raid encounters seen as we can be pretty much constantly casting the whole time. As a guild, labs is a far as we've gotten progression wise to "farm" status so don't really know what else is out there.. Would be interested to see what other items people have to increase their dps..

Anything that procs dmg. procs > +dmg to spell type stuff. Due to our low cast times the +up to 10-50 to dmg spells procs are hardly worth getting.

 

I'd say this:

Head: Breath of the Destroyer (tarinax) or Cap with some name I can't remember (Sunchild - t6)

Cloak: Cloak of the Burning Prince (sol ro cloak)

BP: Class set BP (Mayong / Gown of Glory (Nest)

Shoulders: Power proccing ones - forgot the name (tarinax)

Arms: Some thing from clockwork with +up to 50 or so to all spells or FT6 sleeves off chel'drak

Gloves: Gloves of Sagacity (drop off trash in FTH)

Belt: Hands down the Bone Clasped Girdle (HQ)

Pants: Pants of Mystical Silk (MO), Pants off Cruor Alluvium, Pants off Zylphax (FTH), Class set pants (Wuoshi)

Boots: Matron boots, Boots of Shadow or smt. (HoS), boots from x2 Roost

Neck: MoA, Necklace from CMF, Wraith Touched Necklace (Gates t6 raid last named)

Ear: Earring of the Invoker (collection quest), Some Fang thing (Othysis Muravian - FTH), Earring with +2% spell crist (Maestro in CMMx2)

Ring: Ring of Supremacy (DT, Fitzpitzle), Ring of the Four Winds (quest reward for beating Chel'Drak)

Wrist: Zhee'vree'whatever'the'hell'she's'called sash from Nizara, Bracelet of Thule (boss in LoA), Matron Bracelet, Anything else with procs or +spell dmg mods

Charm: +15 int item from some quest in Shin, Musicbox (t6 SC/PP quest reward)

Weapon: Dagger of Arcane Rites (Chel'Drak), Grizfazzles weapon (quest reward), prismatic 2 (t6 epic quest line)

Off-hand: Empty - Nothing - Zip

Ranged: Blood of the Broodwatcher (Vraksakin - ToS), Fitzpitzles Misty Protector (Second last Claymore reward), Necromantic Orb Something (x2 named in Forsaken City), Orb of the Chosen (MMIS)

• Sunchild hat is Circlet of Living Fire
• Mystical Orb of the Invoker is from Mystical Orbs collection  (just dont chose priest reward accidently)

for the record, godking weap > grizzfazzle cuz of INT bonus.

 

also, having a hex doll instead of the djinn musicbox is better, it gives u more INT for slightly more damage.

I have found this to make a significant parse difference for me (coercer).  Also the godking is proc rate 1.8 x min and Griz is 1.0xmin (correct me if I'm wrong servers down atm)
