So i'm thinking of making either a Conjurer or an Illusionist. Both seem really fun, but which one can solo faster? And which, in your opinion is more fun to play?

Never played a Conjuror, so I don't know which one is more fun.

But Conjurors can solo solo mobs way faster than Illusionists can. Illusionists are just safer at soloing.

Conjurer's can solo faster and have some good AOE spells. The Conj gets the Eath, Air or fire pet and each have different characteristics. If you go Conj then get the Adapt or Master version of the pets. I play a Illusionist on the PVP server and love it, I also have a 40th lvl Conj on the same server. My Illusionist gets more play due to my style of play which brings me to my next point and that is I would truely look at how you play and choose based on that. The Illusionist is great for crowd control, while the Conj has some great AOE spells. Good Luck and Play based on your style

Don't forget the other pet class, the Necromancer, who has the best-looking pets. I play all three and I think the Necro levels the fastest, but that's only my opinion.

I've been a dps player and damage-seeker throughout all the mmo's i play, and let me tell you... utility classes can be exceptionally fun and very rewarding to play; especially the Illusionist! I love being able to group mez and pick out the targets i want to kill, continually remezzing and layin on my DoTs...But by far the best is when you defeat what your group thought was an unbeatable encounter with all sorts of adds and they wonder how it worked out... because you know. SMILEY
