I love how the shaman get an AE mez att lvl 69 that lasts twice as long as the Illusionist ae mez.  This is the true spirit of class balancing.  Now, if they would only let my Illusionist wear chain armor!

i love that those unmezable / unstunable / unstifleable mobs in HoF still can be rooted and feared etc. makes other mage classes and even some healer better at CC there than chanter. Now, if they would only give me dps like a summoner !

You know, someone with some time should check and see how many other classes can mezz.  The enchanter defining ability has basically been given to almost every other class. I am not talkinga bout Pacify or something like that, an actual mezz.

Off the top of my head, I know that bards, clerics, bruisers, swashbucklers, mystics, wizards can mezz.  I am sure other classes got some type of mezz too.

Someone needs to compile a complete list and post it on the main spell forum, and then ask whats the purpose of enchanters anymore.

Clerics have a pacify, not a mez.  Mystics don't have a mez either.  Only Troubadors(dirges do not have it), Bruisers(less duration than recast), Swashbucklers(less duration than recast), Wizards(which also mez themself), and Enchanters can do a real mez.

Defilers are shaman and they DO NOT get a mez of any kind.

For those of you that are misinformed about Mystic Mez, I refer you to the Mystic 69 spell, Sonorus Spirits:

From the description:

Mesmerizes all enemies near the mystic and reduces their hate towards the shaman.  Any hostile actions taken on them will break the mesmerize effect

Power 190

Casting 0.5 sec

Recovery 0.5 sec

Recast 5 minutes

Duration 12.5 sec

Please take some pains to inform yourself before making blanket false statements.  This spell was easily checked

With a recast of 5 minutes I am not too worried about it.

worried or not, i am missing some consistancy.

when our personae had a shorter cast time than summoner pets it got increased to 10 seconds.

now we have a shorter mez duration on our emergency spell than mystics, so why dont increase it also? :smileytongue:

or maybe make the spell upgradeable like healer emergency spells are.

we get barrier of intellect as a one time spell, unlike healers who get it as a spell line. which doesnt only result in mystic at lvl 70 having double duration on the mez, but also 3000 hate reduce vs. illusionist 950 or so.

maybe we can get Phase replaced with an upgraded BoI ?

or even better : replace Phase with an upgrade of Mana Cloak !

I still think phase with an amnesia effect would make me happy about this spell and give it some great uses in a group. Wouldn't make us overpowered but would add some really nice CC without worrying about broken mezzes.
