Hi guys is the 48 pet worth buying (master version)? I have app4 and I was wondering if anyone had the master or adept 3 and noticed a significant difference? thanks

Of course it is worth the upgrades. When you 'summon' your Personae (I call it my Dupetee), the strength of the spell determines the strength of its aresenal. From what I understood, if you summon a personae with Apprentice IV, that would be the strength of its spells. So naturally, I would upgrade that spell line as high as I possibly could to get the best performance from my Dupetee.

When you use a personae, keep in mind, it is not a guardian/berserker so expect it to die. If you do not want it interfering with your CC, make certain you turn off its protection buttons (Protect Me, Protect Self). This way, it will completely ignore damage done to YOU, and erase its own hate list. If you do not do this, the pet will systematically attack the mez'd mobs in order of the hate they have generated.

I fight with my Dupetee and my Construct (cannot cast strife on this one) all the time. Send in your pet and cast strife on it and watch the mobs HP drop. It makes my life easier when solo'n. The stronger, the better!

No.It is not worth it. The difference between Adept III and Master I of it is a sad joke.Never really used the Adept I to notice a difference, but Adept III and Master I differences is little to none.

upgrading from app4 to master is well worth it. the pet will do significant more damage.

but like a poster above already explained, upgrading only seem to affect the quality of spells the personae is using.

so dont expect it to tank any better and even with the higher damage it will not be able to hold agro usually.

What is the difference between a construct and a personnae? What level is your personnae? Does it level with you?

Construct is something you gain at Level 32/46/60. They level up like this Order: to 45, Logic to 59, Reason to 73.

They are fairly weak, and last 45s out of 63s.

Personae is a duplicat eof yourself, suppsoed to be our pet for soloing, but doesn't work very well.

yes the personae is leveling with you. it looks like you and can cast spell like gloom and mez similar as you. it also can tank about as well as you, which isnt that great but better than get beat on yourself. it can be controlled like a normal pet.

the construct is more or less a dot that has a body and depending on spell quality will have different appearance. at adept its a fairy for expample. its a short living thingy that cannot be controlled in any form. you cast it on the mob and the construct will beat on it till either the mob is dead, the duration of the spell is expired or the mob kills the construct. it needs to be recast new on each mob.

You can parse it pretty easy. Fight something and dont attack at all. Most parsers will just show it as your damage. Its actually an easy way to cheat on parsers cause they just add to your damage and suddenly your getting 400 dps pretty easy...

I personally got the master version but didn't notice a big difference. But with the int caps so easy to reach what else do you spend your money on? I look at spells as our most valuable asset. :smileyhappy:

I have master personae and I used adept3 for weeks before the upgrade, I myself notice a hell of a differnece. My duplicate has better spells than me as all his are master1 while a few of mine are still adept3, my personae rocks ast master1. the question is how much are you paying for the master? and is it worth it to you personally.
