Could use a little helpful Illusionist info

First off, I mainly play a warlock but I have a friend who I help level who plays an Illusionist. She has some medical problems and as such has a very limited amount of time she can play so several of her friends help out. Anyway, she’s up to level 50 now and since I don’t play her full time I’d like some suggestions of what spells I might want to get upgraded for her. Maybe 3 or four of the first spells an illusionist would want at adept 3 sub 51 and 3 or 4 she would want post 51.As a note, I have a lot of fun playing her and enjoy the illusionist class. I do wish the pet healed faster between fights. This character is mainly played solo or in small groups of 2-3. Thanks in advance.

I would say Color Shower, Dynamism, Insight, and Prismatic Strife would all be pretty good candidates for tier 5 spells. You could also consider Scorching Beam, Wither Hope, and Lobotomize. Also consider, of course, which abilities were/will be taken at Master II. Hmm, rethinking about solo/small groups. Maybe skip Insight and add in Scorching Beam.

Regarding Scorching Beam, we do get an upgrade to that around lvl57. I don't know if you want to consider that or not in this case but I did want to point that out. So by the time she reaches 57, you'll be throwing away that Scorching Beam upgrade. But personally I upgraded it before the expansion to ad3 and I don't regret it - it will help me pretty well on my way to 57. SMILEY
