quick betrayal question

hello,

i'm a wiz looking into betraying to a warlock.

However, i'm an evil wizard now - when i betray do i become an evil warlock, or a good warlock?

You can become either, its up to you. If you want to be good work on faction with qeynos, if you want to be evil work on faction with freeport. If that doesn't make sense now, it will once you get going on the betrayal quest.

You can be a warlock in either city. When you come to the step to talk to a trainer, make sure you talk to the warlock trainer.
