Ok im firstly not a warlock, nore do i really have much clue about the class,

However i picked up a level 62 netherlord master, i was then told by someone in the group that it was compleatly and totally worthless as the master version is no-better than app1.

im not in a big guild nore do i have close warlock friends so i haven't reall got anyone to donate it too so it's likely to get sold, however id like to know what i have or dont have before i decide on a sale price.. nor am i short of cash so i wont really be too upset if it does turn out to be worthless, really im looking for some confermation of this fact before i decide what to do with it.

Send 'Merl' a tell in game tonight and I will buy it off you, its not worthless but not exactly the 'must have' master either but I would like to upgrade.

The M1 will certainly be stronger than the App1, whoever told you that obviously doesnt know what he is talking about.

With that being said, this spell isnt very useful in most situations. There are a few Warlocks who like to use it a lot, so you could sell it for a little bit, but keep the price realistic. I've got 140+ plat in the bank, and the most I'd pay for a Netherlord M1 is 10p. That's me personally though. Good luck.

One friend of me give me that master.

I use it to solo mobs. the pet tank them to me. But it only works on weak mobs, and you still needing to cast some DoTs on the mob to kill it and cast contusion to allow pet to hold agroo.

I'm not sure its works like a real master spell. a green mob non heroic can kill it with easely. But to keep you away and add for a short time or to kill some mobs while you harvest is usefull.

It was a present of a friend. But i won't pay more that 3pp for that spell.

I told him/her that. And after starting out with the Adept 1 in beta and then later finding the Master 1 I do know the difference between them in damage... nothing! I always have a parser running in the background and I specifically looked at the difference before and after the upgrade and on average there is no difference at all.If he has more hp...I honestly don't know, but it doesn't matter anyway because this pet can't tank stuff that we can't tank ourselves. And as for paying 10 platinum for it... well it's your money. I hope for Leiala we have some fool on Splitpaw who will pay that. SMILEY I wouldn't give more than 1 for the sake of saying I've mastered all my spells (someday) SMILEY

I have to agree. Id give maybe 1 plat for it, just to have it. The only thing I use Netherlord for is to group mobs together so I can get my group root on them. Other than that its pretty worthless. Kind of like the guy selling the Master version of our T7 pillaging skill for 17 plat...I was sorely tempted to send him a big LOL in the mail...I dont even have this skill in my knowledge book, let alone on my hotbar..

Netherlos / Netherlord is essentially a DoT that comes with a very fancy graphic.  I use it on named mobs conning yellow to me when I know the abttle will last more than 30 seconds.  It used to count as a chance to spawn the broodlings as well - but I'm not sure if that's changed.  As for M1 ... well maybe at this time it is not useful.  That doesn't mean that down the road it won't get a bump up in power.  Just something to think about.  I tend to buy upgrades for that reason alone as much as anything else.

10 plat for M! of that stinky pet/dot.. nah, You might convince me to pay 1 plat if I had plats to burn. The difference in DPS is not worth 9 plat, unless you have more plat than you know what to do with.

For me, my bruiser is consuming all my bling bling...

I said exactly the same some months ago about Netheros, but let's not forget this is SOE we're dealing with and looking and the current state of the warlock I don't have my hopes up...
