Here are some of the Nameds from Silent City that I have solo'd for rare Master chests and other items:

Battu the Lion Tamer _56^^) drop Beast Tamers Cowl (+16 Int Shoulders) very often and also has rare Master chest rate - very easy

The Strategist (56^^) drops Tacticians Hoop often - plus rare Master chest  - very easy

Warclaw (57^^)drops Belt of the Claw (+15 Int Waist) often - plus rare Master chest - moderate difficulty due to his ranged attk and multiple adds

Tried soloing Curator (57^^^) but very difficult/time-consuming.

Anyways, if anyone else knows any other SOLOABLE (by Warlocks) Nameds they know that drop either sweet loot or rare Master chests then please add to this post.

I've tried the Roost solo but the Nameds have ranged so its virtually impossible - havent tried the HC yet though.

The Roost is possible for a Warlock, but very hard.  I don't want anyone to get any Warlock spells nerfed, because we sure AREN"T overpowering solo encounters, so I will instead pose this food for thought: "If the mob is casting on you, make it stop casting.  If the mob persists in trying to cast on you, think of the most annoying message you see when a tank pulls mobs into a tight area."

Cheers.

hahah :smileyvery-happy:

ok ic. not like all other classes cannot do this stuff as well.

Anyways, In Roost, first Named mob to the left hits me with a DoT that does 550x6 which usually kills me or takes me to very low health.  I use TT, root, dev, ND, maybe another DD, rinse and repeat while hiding behind rock - best case scenario I got it to about 35% health before odds get to me and something goes astray and I get the DoT and another small DD.

Sevmen, do you not understand that these kind of posts are taken by other classes as 'gloating' which then in turn causes hostility, which raises the cries for nerfs, which undoubtedly, soe DOES listen to?

While in actuality, MOST warlocks do NOT solo nameds, and do NOT abuse our power, gloating about possibilities that are not available to all classes makes us all look bad.

So... this request comes from a 60 warlock who's disgusted enough at what his class has been nerfed to already-

Kindly let this thread die.

Well per se  SMILEY we do solo named but prefer solo melee named only.... Worst enemy of warlock is shaman type of mob - their dots are simply brutal
Personaly I'd not solo Roost with warlock but with coercer? - why not ... it just take very very very while

I play both a level 60 wizard and warlock, with the wizard being slightly better equipped.   All spells are A3 or Master on both, gear a mixture of T6 treasured through fabled, and a bag of resist gear.     Ignoring geometry dependent exploits, Scornfeather is  more readily soloed by a wizard than a warlock, but doable by both.    The difference is the wizard's ability to pound solo targets with more damage per spell cast.  This means net less rerooting, with less opportunity to get melee mangled before getting the mob  back under control.   The warlock's native poison resists don't offset the DoT issue enough to avoid having to cure it.      My ranger friend has an easier go of it,  since his roots break too but his stun poisons proc so frequently the the mob is essentially constantly stunned.      You can pretty much count on the Harpy DoT landing on you more than once per fight as a sorcerer, and have to prepare for it, but the ranger can limit it to such a low rate he has a  lesser need for curing it, or just  strip and die when it lands. Neither sorcerers nor rangers can stand being melee'd in there, and I have not gotten a plate tank to try it yet to report on that. Soloing the instance is very slow for any class, and combined with the death repairs and costs of expendibles, makes Scornfeather a poor loot run.  Basically you solo it to prove to yourself that you can.     I have no issue with those who use a geometry issue to avoid being hit.   SONY has installed that particular feature into the game at it's beginning and never changed it, so they must mean for it to be used.  It is certainly irritating enough when a mob uses it.    Those who use it, however,  never learn whether or not they can solo the instance. As for soloing heroic Named, it is doable by many if not all classes,  it only being a matter how high a level of Named and how well the player learns both the class and the game's support items.
