how many of you use root??......thats how i normaly play...nuke....root....nuke and nuke....re root if nesisary. now that these changes are going in and basicaly post 40 will be rootless....will we be able to take the mobs bashing us while we try to finish um off?? if so what tactic do you use??

You still have a root. Paralyzing Fear, and upgrade for that later on that you use instead of FM. And unlike on live, PF doesn't break on first damage, it lasts as well (or as bad) as FM does now on live. And if the fear effect goes off, you have it up again the second the fear runs out (16s recast, 12 duration +4s fear 'n snare duration) That beeing said, while the numbers on paper look grim with the recast longer then the duration, actually playing in the Feerott and Splitpaw with my 41 Warlock with the combat changes, you don't have to worry one bit about soloing solo cons at all. It works quite nicely still. I was still able to do Upper Tunnels on very difficult (that's against +4Lv,+5Lv mobs). You have to pay more attention, and be more carefull, though I consider that a good thing. And you do infact can "take a bashing" noticeably better then on live. Killing some green Huptics on the beach in Ferrott, I didn't even use root most of the time. And while my nukes are Adept3 mostly, the rest of my gear is mostly green and blue quested and dropped stuff.. treasured at best :/ While single heroics are off limits without Bony Grasp, some heroic groups are still doable (some of the Lizard groups in Ferrott), though the risk vs reward is quite a bit higher, as it should be really SMILEY

Bony,debuff,nukes,FM...wait...dont touch mob...turn HP to power...Bony,nuke,FM....blah blah....

FM wont break if mob aint dmged.I use chaotic malestorm very carfuly and even turn it of before I put FM on to prevent it freaking the root.

Incase I get resit I use flashfreeze followed by lvl 40 training (dont remember the name) 10.7sec stun,almot never get resisted.

Then if bony not up yet put FM until bony is back....

Actualy killing group mobs is harder for a solo warlock.Unless they are the 30hp lizy on feerot hehe.

Post level 40:

Heroics: Bony Grasp, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke...Frozen Manacles, repeat.

Solo: Tara's Necrotic Nebula (or Deter if TNN hasn't refreshed from last mob), nuke, nuke, nuke.

Pre level 40:

Heroics: Not worth the effort.

Solo: Frozen Manacles (or arcane bindings if pre-19), nuke until it broke, flashfreeze (or freeze), nuke it dead or repeat.

I honesty didn't solo much, would usually duo with a necro -- looks to be that will still be the best xp, now tons more so.
