Noob question, Can a High Elf become a Warlock without doing betrayl quest?

Hi all, I really wanted to make a High Elf toon but was thinking I would like to be a Warlock over a Wizard and wasnt sure if I need to then do the betrayl quest to get to Freeport. Please no flames, I know High Elves are good, I woud be doing this just for fun SMILEY

Warlocks can be good or evil, so yes.

. One more question if I might. So like when It comes time to do my quest to move on from sorceror to the next level it will give my High Elf a choice between Warlock or Wizard? I wasnt sure how this works.

Yes, at lvl 18 or 19 when you do your subclass quest you have to choose War or Wiz.

Just a little word of advice for basic knowledge of the game. The book that comes with the game has alot of basic stuff in it including which races are good, evil, or neutral as well as the classes.

wizard and warlock are one of the few subclasses that remain neutral(ie can be from both cities) i think
