Recast times

ok well I finally got with a smart tank who knew what he was doing so I could chain nuke. As a 32 warlock, I just kept repeating through this chain: BSS-Ice Spike-Noxious Bolt-Ice Spike-Suffocating Breath.(Side note: what do you guys think about this chain? Ice spike still just does more dmg than suffocating breath for the power used....it finally started to sort of outdamage it, but only the max is higher lol. Ice spike app4 and suffocating breath adept 1 btw)

 

I decided to count up the seconds and noticed that I think the recast timer starts for some spells when you start to cast the spell. I cast BSS (9 secs now) then cast ice spike (7 secs) then noxious bolt ( 5 secs) then ice spike (3 secs) then suffocating breath (1 sec). Only after suffocating breath I could go straight to it, so i cut that off the end and noticed there was only a 1 second wait after ice spike before bss recharged. From this it looks like the timer starts when I start casting, therefore leaving me with the actual 1 second I wait. But then I looked at ice spike, and that timer really does start after I cast it, so does suffocating breath. But noxious bolt acts like bss and so it really only has a 4.5 recast. Maybe this is just a spell description error....or i'm tired lol, but this is confusing me.
