![]() I have a level 34 Wizard at the moment and around level 28 or so I noticed that when I try to cast freeze on mobs orange and up that I get the message "Target too powerful." I have read through the spell list and do not see anything that looks like an upgrade to freeze. This is one of my favorite spells that helps especially when soloing with its decent dmg and stun with fast casting which has saved my butt on several occasions. Am I missing a spell I dont see on the list or am I just screwed as far as that spell goes? Also if there isnt an upgrade to the spell, if I make it adept 3 will I be able to hit higher con mobs? ![]() Blazing Intimidation is the upgrade if I am not mistaken. Yes, it will hit higher level mobs then Freeze. Message Edited by Kamujin on 07-25-2005 02:26 PM

![]() there is no direct upgrade, but as stated above you get higher lvl stuns Blazing Intimidation at lvl 27, which is dmg and a 3,8 stun Paralyze at lvl 44, which is 6 sec stun

there actually is an upgrade through the specializations or whatever it's called. Daenor's lingering frost.

![]() Thanks for the replies. Blazing Intimidation rarely hits for me if the mob is yellow or above con thus I dont even really cast it much while Freeze landed almost every time. I picked ice spear on its upgrade cause heard it was bad [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] and it is most definitely but is the training upgrade to freeze "Daenor's Lingering Frost" at the same lvl training lvl as ice spear? (i dont remember cause I didnt really look cause i knew i was picking ice spear). If so would it be better to get lingering frost cause it would hit higher conned mobs than yellow and get adept3 of ball of fire or vise versa? So adept2 or better does it increase your con on mobs?

Blazing intimidation will get better. I loved that spell in my 40's. Its to bad it doesnt work on 49+ mobs otherwise I would still have it in my spell line up. Paralyze is nice 6 second stun but with the 3 minute cooldown it is more of a save my [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] spell then anything else.

Do not give up on Blazing intimidation. This spell was so vital soloing Nightblood in EL from lvls 36 to 41 I upgraded it to Adept III. I was really disappointed when they nerfed it during a patch and gave it a lvl limit and now I have to depend on Paralyze with does no damage and has a very long recast time.

Paralyze ROCKS, except for the fact that it has a 3 minute recast. 3 MINUTES! ARGH!

If you think it rocks you should look at the warlock equivelant. 9 second stun and 45 second timer 4 the win. |
