Hello,

Just thought it would be an idea to see how others handle their mobs.   Also gives me a chance to learn better techniques and become better. I am a L49 wizard and do not have Ice comet yet.   These would work for anyone from level 41 plus.

Single Mob  (Normal or Heroic):

Ring of Cold >  Piercing Icicles > Ball of Flames > Immolation > Icy Wind > Ball of Flames > Wests' Ice Spear > Vital Flow > Ball of Flames
At this point any single mob, white or yellow should fall.

Single Mob  ^^ (Blue / White):

Ring of Cold > Piercing Icicles > Icy Coil > Ball of Flames > Immolation > Icy Wind > Ball of Flames > Wests' Ice Spear > Vital Flow > Ball of Flames > Paralyze > Wait 3 sec > Frozen Manacles > wait 3 sec >  Repeat Cycle

Group Mobs x 3 or more (Blue or Green down arrows):

Ring of Cold > Icy Wind > Fiery Pluse:   Then I try to burn the mobs down quickly one at a time.  See single mob nuking.   With any luck, 2 mob are down before RoC root runs out.  The last mob then, I use Frozen Manacles and quickly get it down.

Raid Mobs:

Have all buffs up.  Pray for luck on the mob resists.  Pray for luck again on Mob resists:

Piercing Icicles > Icy Coil > Incinerate > Ball of Flames > Immolation > (Icy Flame if you are close enough or way for 1 sec) Ball of Flames > Wests' Ice Spear > Vital Flow > Ball of Flames >    Pray again on resists  >  REPEAT.

OK.   Floor is open.  What am I doing wrong? What am I doing right?  post your own starategies.

You have written Ball of Fire, but I guess you mean Ball of Flames?

Single Mob:

Ring of Cold >  Icy Coil > Piercing Icicles  > Immolation > Arcane Augar > Ball of Flames > Wests' Ice Spear w/Arcane Fury 80% of the time

If no fury, hit it with Icy Flames or another low mana nuke.

Drop a gold on totem of the hawk/bat. You will regen mana faster than you can use it. I can usually drop 10-15 mobs in a row before taking a break. This will save your health for when you have to tank.

In groups, here is my techinque, good for when you have Ring of Cold.Tank pulls, you target tank. Cast AE debuff/dot that you have. Follow up with AE damage spell, then ring of cold.Hit tab to cycle to another mob in the encounter, put two debuff/dots on them, hit tab again, incinerate and immolation. Hit tab again, Ball of Flames, Ice Flame, any other spell you have loaded, like ball of flames or ice spike. By this time, your debuffs/dots should be up again, so toss one on them. Then just cycle through finishing off the mobs that are almost dead. At 50, with ice comet adept 3, you can sometimes kill one mob in the encounter right off, or get as close to dead as possible. With this method, you will take down multi-mob encounters faster, and not have to worry about mobs dying before you get the spell off. Your tank should keep AE taunting, regardless of the Ring of Cold, which most likely will break, oh and when it does, that is an additional dot on the remaining mobs, so why not AE debuff/dot again =).

I just recently changed my single mob sequence to the following:

Ring of Cold >  Piercing Icicles > Ball of Flames > Icy Coil > Immolation >  Ball of Flames > Westfends' Ice Spear

Most yellow mobs are dead for me at that point, although depending on how HO's come up, I might need to throw in another nuke (Ice Spike will usually do it).
