Ok maybe its just me, however this mornign I was looking at all those stupid stats that SOE posts about everyone.   Being a wizard I was cusrious what kind of super magic damage was being done at thehigh end (I just 41 this weekend).  Well, on the overall list of highest MAGIC damage, I noticed there was not a single caster in the top 10.   I thought this odd since this wasn't melee damage top ten.  So I looked at every server's top 10 list (those outside top ten dont get thiet class listed).  Except for the 2 Japan servers (which I omitted because the top hits there were way off the other servers ie a factor of 10), there were 2 casters in the top ten through out all servers.  One was a 38 warlock who had like a 10k hit and an Illusionist who had a 30K hit.  Evereyone else was a fighter based character.  Is it just me or does anyone else think it's odd that the catagory of highest MAGIC hit is totally dominated by the fighters?

two reasons: -fighters complete a really rare, really high damage HO, this is magic based, not melee. -Shimmering Star Breastplate, its a fabled piece of heavey armour. it has a 5%(?) chance to reflect damage done to them back to the MOB. so if a MOB casts ice comet for 14k it can be reflected back to itself and the damage goes down as the fighters.

Brawlers and Warriors get a Bloodlines spell that allows them to 1 hit kill mobs. I know the brawler one hits for 220% of a mobs life so this is how they get such high hits.

I was under the impression that the fighter spells that they get do 220% of their own life to the mob after saving their life.  Kind of a last resort massive hit like the SK's in EQLive

the illusionist with the 30k hit is in my guild.  He got it from a reflect of his breastplate.  He has a platinum-dusted tunic which reflects like full damage back when struck by a spell.  It supposedly also works against barrage too.

The effects that caused this sound pretty cool.  However, I think those effects should fall under something else.  The melee types have leader board to show how uber they are at beating thinks with a stick or poking things with a knife, but our uber list doesn't show what we get to do.  Even though its just a fun gwiz thing, it would be nice if it were populated with actual caster achievements.
