![]() I was examining all my buffs today and was pleasantly surprised to see that Intensify is finally better than Amplification. I don't know whether it's because I am now lvl 40 and have grown into it, or if they fixed something in the last patch, but even at App1 Intensify is better than Adept1 Amplification. I happily went out and purchased the App4 for it. But what's the deal with Hand of the Tyrant? It doesn't really seem to be better than Dazzling Seal, apart from the fact it grants a little bit more heat mitigation and a 0-1% increase in dps. I can cast it at the same time as Dazzling Seal, but the only thing that seems to change when I have both up, is a few more points in heat resistance. Any high level wizards care to shed some light on whether it's worth a concentration slot to have both up? The small chance of a 0-1% increase in my dps seems rather pitiful, and in light of the recent changes not all that neccessary, considering I now actually have to curtail my dps or risk going splat from aggro. At the moment I always have these buffs up on myself Intensify Dazzling Seal Snow Filled Steps Magi's Shielding Descry -love the +int/wis Tank Fiery Grandeur Custodial Warding-the HOT makes me laugh everytime it procs, but 60 hps a tick healed may mean the difference between life and death in a close fight Healer/Mage Descry Scout/other melee Fiery Grandeur The 15min timers on the single target buffs has made it easier to keep buffs on everyone, but it still can be a pain to keep refreshing, but overall it's definitely worth doing. ![]() I've yet to get Hand of the Tyrant myself, but from grouping with slightly higher Wizards I can tell you it's slightly better than Dazzling Seal, though not much. Don't forget Concurrence on the tank too.
