I want to roll one, but I kind of want a solidified end game roll, I dont care what it is. From what ive read in the forums pallies are kind of [I cannot control my vocabulary]ty back up tanks. Am I wrong lol?<div></div>

<DIV>Alot of the Woe-is-me posts come from raiding Paladins... and they may/may not be justified, i don't know.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From a grouping side of things, paladin's are perfectly capable tanks.</DIV>

Its not paladins, its tanks in general where the numbers are against you - 24 classes in the game, 24 spots in a raid BUT - you do not need or want 6 tanks. 1-3 is ample. Its not just tanks, once you have one of any class, a 2nd adds a lot less to a raid, except for a few special ones - troubadours (2-3), dirges (1-2), Tier 1 DPS - lots If you want to raid then pick a class that isn't played much, and IS useful end game. Defilers & Troubadors come to mind. It will of course depend on your guilds makeupStarting a tank now, and aiming to be a raid tank is going to be a verrrrry long term project. Raid tanking gear only drops from raids. And if there is one class that any raid has more than enough of, its tanks.<div></div>

Yep. Play a shaman, bard, or coercer if you want a raid spot. Illusionist is also pretty rare and useful. If you want to DPS the picture is more open. I think swashbuckler is really solid right now, and will be in the future. My Brigand alt is really fun to play, too.<div></div>

You never know, by the time you reach "end-game" whatever that may be for you, the playing field may be different.Pick a class you like, because it won't be the same in 10 months, as it is right now. (assuming you take 10 months to make lvl 70, 100aa, fabled gear and mastered out)<div></div>
or you can be like me... My Pally is almost a year old (started him on 2/7/06) and is only 66 without much more than mastercrafted and adept Is <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
