I played right on release and kicked huge [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] until the 30's. Then SOE swung nerf bat at us and I got [Removed for Content]. I remember tankin like a mofo until that point. I couldnt get agro fer nuttin. So im thinkin of activating for a month to check it out. So hows the class nowadays? The expansions worth it? Hows abilty to solo? and sry for the ton o questions but how is it looking for groups. I hated waiting and waiting LFG. Talk to meh~

Smite Evil no longer works in PVP / PVE duels with no refund in sight for all the weeks I worked to get it on Venekor. We are doomed.

For Solo, Duo and small group it is hard to beat a paladin as a fighter. As the mobs scale up, the Paladins abilities do not, so dealing with Epic mobs gets difficult.

You aren't a fast killer, but you are durable and sometimes out by yourself, that means alot.

Hmm.. I find that going offensive with full dps gear(3.5k mit) is the way to go, instead of full defensive 4.8k mit.

If I go defensive I run out of power before the mob is dead. I actually tank in offensive stance. The bonus you get in defensive stance just isn't worth it for what you lose.

The major problem with defensive stance is ... well none of your abilitys actually hit the -slashing/disruption/crushign etc. really makes 2/3 ailities just miss or plain ole get resisted. especially against anythgin higher than a blue.At least the WIS line offers +slashing/disruption etc. and is exactly where I am aiming for as I was sick of blowing half my power only to have nothing hit.

Of course it depends on the group setup.

Personally from what I've seen, our new AA's are horrible if you want more DPS. Thats just from a glance and I'm not a very high lvl paladin. I'm just judging the pally AAs vs. My inquisitors. To me they are making a Paladin into a Plate wearing Healer and not a Melee fighter in which we ought to be. these are just my opinions though.

Pretty sure he is setup for pure offensive aa's, but I haven't found out his setup yet. Though he is hitting 1k-1.2k all the time.

I just find I'm less effective. In a raid situation, maybe it's useful but my chances of tanking a raid that isn't greyed out is about 1 in 3000 or worse.

Most of the time I'll be in instances or places like SoS/PoA and while I might get an occasional shot at labs, it is pretty much assured I won't be tanking, so again it doesn't matter.
