My friend started a Paladin and I'm struggling abit with what class I should choose to best support him. We gonna be fay both of us, I started as Ranger but I'm having some doubts. Is there any other class that duos well with Paladin?<div></div>

Any class that does a lot of damage duo's very well w/ a paladin, since the paladin can hold agro and heal himself. The only thing is he/she might have some troubles holding agro until he/she gets amends.

<div></div>Yeah /agree with sermon. Any class with high DPS is a good duo with a Paladin, paladins have the tanking +healing + agro holding ability (once they get amends) to handle the tanking side of things so the following options remain to you:1) Scout Class - Prefereably not a Bard type as their damage is reletively low compared to their fellow scouts.2) Mage Class - Any mage class will do, however I would choose Wizard or Conjurer, wizard as they have stoneskin + high DPS, conjurer as their pets can prove useful in a duo situation as they have their own power pools etc.3) Fighter Class - Beserker, Monk or Bruiser - Guardian and SK are not suitable as their dps isn't that great.4) Priest Class - only if you really want to, all the priests have reletivly poor DPS however if you wish to be a healer a druid class i.e. warden or fury would suffice. The main problem you will face at low levels is that your paladin has chosen to be a fae, although at higher levels this choice will have little impact at low levels the fae's base stats are very poor for tanking and you could see limited survivabiltiy until your friends paladin hits his/her 20's.Hope this post helps you choose, personally I think you are fine with your ranger, however if I were to choose I would pick wizard as, like ranger, their DPS is single target focused and easy to regulate once your paladin friend has amends, additionly they have Stoneskin and a numer of other useful buffs.Sir Felindar Fierblade - High Elf Paladin 62 (GUK SERVER)<div></div><p>Message Edited by Fellindar on <span class=date_text>01-05-2007</span> <span class=time_text>12:25 AM</span>

Tell your friend to betray and become an SK.....that way he will have twice as much DPS and still be able to heal himself...then you can have whichever class you like.

I duoed some surprsignly tough things with a wizard and my pallly. The buffs seemed to compliment each other extremly well.<div></div>
I have had success duoing with a conjurer myself. But I've also had success with a templar, fury and troubador. The only place the templar and I had issues was with mobs that could heal themselves at extraordinarily high rates (the skellies in Zek for example). We'd simply run out of power before we could do enough DPS.

Pretty much any high end dps is an awesome compliment. I think the overall best I have ever been with was a Necro.....group Lifetap, awesome dps, hearts, stamina buff, etc...<div></div>

I swear by a monk. They dump great dps, and with amends aggro is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] near a lock. Excepting HoF and the epic parts, I duo'd the entire claymore line with one.~Hawke<div></div>

Grouped Pali and Swash mostly through LVL 40-60 was a great pair.

I had a pretty fun time tanking for a charming coercer once, but it was a little more intense than everyday grinding should be. I agree with dps or a priest. If the partner has group invis, that's pretty handy, too. The dps partner should be very careful with agro on heroics at the low-mid levels.<div></div>

I duo with my spouse's Paladin, 56 Fury. Pally holds aggro, I nuke. Between the divine damage we both do and my debuffs, we can take down mobs in short order.I recently started a new Paladin, a fae, and my spouse first started a Fury, but rerolled to a Mystic. Omg, that's a good combo! Between our wards and the Mystic's debuffs and my divine debuff, nothing stands up for long. We tested how high a mob we can take out, orange is about the highest level we feel comfortable with on a 'if we have to' basis.Paladin and Warden is good as well. The Warden's dotting heals keep the Pally alive, but the Warden kills a bit slow. If you don't mind a slow and steady pace, this is a good combo.<div></div>The Paladin is the Swiss Army knife of the fighters, imho. Duoing with just about any class works well, since they can heal if its needed.
Was duoing with a lvl 63 conjy last night and we were holding our own against white con heroics (1^^^, 2^^ or 3^ mobs) in Barren Sky. Was quite suprising.

It's a pretty good combo with great survivability, but the kill rate can be excruciatingly slow.~Hawke</div>

<DIV>Like everyone else I've had a good deal of success grouping my pally with a DPS class. Best duo I've done was myself and a CONJ or myself and an Assassin.</DIV>

<P>The Paladin is one of the best duo classes in the game. Tanking/Healing/and the buff line that transfers hate make them the king of small grouping.</P> <P>So...</P> <P>Any dps class is a great choice. My preference: Swashy. For the ghetto mez if needed, smuggle (which rocks), and respectable dps.</P>

IllusionistPaladins when self healing run out of power (compared to SKs who run out of life). With that combo you can duo content others only dream of.<div></div>
