I know in old EQ you had to have a /taunt button set up to increase a taunt skill. That isn't the case here is it? Please tell me I have not been this out of it for this long.

Vadiman

No /taunt macro required. Your 'taunt' abilities will appear in your knowledge book, just like all your other spells and combat arts. All you have to do is push that icon button just like casting anything else. You have 2 taunts (3 if you count goading gesture, but it's on the same timer as your single target, so we won't count that). One is single target, and one is encounter ae. The encounter ae one decreases resistance to divine damage spells. None of your taunts decrease the mob's mitigation. Some people also consider our shield bash a taunt as well, just because it has extra aggro tacked onto the ability besides just the damage done.Hope that helped.~Hawke

FT - flowing thought often comes on gear - regenerates incombat power at a faster rate.ie. FT8 (flowing thought VIII) will increase the power you gain back at every 'tick' (3 seconds I think) by 8On its own it doesn;t do much but stacked together it does a surprising amount of power regen and is mainly sought after by crusadrers (Paladin's Shadow Knights) Mages and Priests.Unsure what LT and RT could be though.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I was right about the taunts just being my +hate spells, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something

I love my shield bash!

though noone has ever answered if it is still bad to stun epics. I know in the past, a stun could cause (or guarentee) some sort of special attack from the mob, is that still in the game. It always bothered me the number of abilities I had to give up (in the few raids I've been on) to not have a stun effect in there.

RE: Shield bash

I've always known this was an agro generator... what I didn't realize that it generates more hate than our single taunt and group taunt... and it stuns!!

BASH AWAY!

I know they don't work, but at least in the past, using a stun was bad news (ie triggered some spell effect, aoe, etc). Is that still in?

It all depends on the mob. Like on the drake you can't use AE's.
Thanks for the info

a proc is something that goes off based on some random number generator. Imbues are procs (damage for weapons and pants, healing for bp). But you also get a buff that is a proc (Righteousness line I believe it is called. Yellow symbol with a sword in it). A good plus is one that goes off regularly or with enough effect when it does to be acceptable (this is a personal call on the player to be honest).
