<DIV>Can we get a dev response on why this symbol is not allowed to be modified? It's raid loot, and obivously not a heritage or part of the Claymore questline. None of the symbol adornments can be put on this symbol, and it's quite annoying.</DIV>

I dont know if you already have, but may wanna put something about that under the Items boards. Past history dictates the devs usually do not get this deep into the boards. Hell, we could prolly start a porno site on the paladin forums and it would take em a year to catch it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

The devs are well aware of this bug, it was reported in beta several times. It likely has something to do with the word "imbued" in the item name. Prolly not on the top of their fix list, but will be fixed eventually. There are some cool symbol options in EoF, Novum Tectum and Ivy Shrouded Orb of Tunare come to mind. <div></div>

(The coding searches for this word in the item's name to determine if it can be adorned or not). They said they'd get a fix in...but didn't state a time. I'm assuming one day you'll log in and it'll be named something else instead of writing code changes.</P> <P>~Hawke</P>

What would it take, 5 minutes of coding to rename the item and solve the problem?<div></div>

But, there are probably many things that have the word 'imbued' in them that they need to go change, plus anything that uses any of those items as quest rewards, or involved in quests in any way... I'm guessing it'd take them a bit longer than 5 minutes, and it's probably not the highest of priority atm. (Not saying get over it or anything, just guessing as to why it's not done yet).</P> <P>~Hawke</P>

Considering the bug was identified in Beta there is no acceptable excuse at all.<div></div>

<P>There were tons of things identified in beta that never got 'fixed' before EoF hit live servers. But, I'm not gonna argue with you, bro. I'm not making excuses for them, either. I was offering an explanation of what I thought might be the scenario as to why it hasn't been changed. Was it pointed out in beta? Yes. Is it adjusted yet? No. I guess there's nothing else to be said at the moment.</P> <P>~Hawke</P>

Sorry, guess it is general disgust with SOE for sneaking in combat changes that were never Beta tested, failing to adjust zones accordingly, introducing legendary and TREASURED gear as good as our KoS raid fabled, not properly balancing classes, introducing and stealth nerfing adornments after people spend a mint on them, ignoring nearly everything that was raised that became an issue and was avoidable had they only listened and than tossing people out of Beta for dissenting... now this.<div></div>

You can't adorn any of the quest rewards from the Claymore line.</P> <P>~Hawke</P>

ahhh thanks hawk i got it... dang i guess there is a limit to how tall the pic can be? the bottom half of this pic is cut out... hehe we'll see if it's too tall. That is really too bad i cant adorn anything from claymore did they give any justification for that? I mean if we went through all the trouble of completing that quest we should be able to adorn those tiems... oh well thanks again hawk

That's another thing Wulf, thanks for pointing it out... the Claymore line was made pretty much useless by the introduction of adornments and the combat changes. The interim rewards, namely the mit and resist jewelry was pretty decent, the end reward was so so at best. You would still see raid tanks running around wearing the mit jewelry... With the diminishing rate of returns curve on mit, we can now scrap the mit jewelry in favor of stuff with higher stats, better resists, and now with EoF some amazing procs/buffs. If we could adorn claymore interim rewards, they would be worth keeping. I foresee using none of them within a month's time as soon as a better earring, belt and wrist drop. Even if I dropped the earring, belt and wrist I would remain above 4200 mit self buffed, group buffed I would be over 5000 easily, raid buffed even higher... and I could put on another blocking adornment plus others.<div></div>

<P>Yeah, that was pretty annoying for me to find out as well. As far as I know, the items that can NOT be adorned are anything from the Claymore, Godking, or Prismatic lines, Heritage Quest items, and anything that has been crafter imbued. There is also currently a bug where if an item has the word 'imbued' in it's name (whether crafter imbued or not) currently can not be adorned.</P> <P>~Hawke</P>
