View Full Version : Advice on which line to spend achievement points in first?

<DIV>As a young paladin, I'm still considering what line to put my achievement points into first.  Now that we have the paladin-only line, the question has gotten a bit more muddled.  I pretty much like to group as much as possible, but do find myself soloing from time-to-time.  Thinking that maximizing dps in my shoes would be the best place to start, but I'm wondering what line(s) might best serve that purpose.  Thanks!</DIV>

<DIV>Well if you want to increase your DPS through AA's go down the DPS line...</DIV>

<DIV>Interesting response...since EVERY pre-EOF line increases dps in some way.  Let me try again, as it might just be that too many of you paladins have ignored the INT AA line.  :smileywink:  As you know, as soon as you spend points in the EOF line it will be locked, so I'm just wondering whether it would be better to start spending points in the KOS AA line first?  Or is the new EOF line a significant upgrade that would warrant attention first?</DIV>

<DIV>If I were to start a new paladin I would probably start in the KoS lines with INT for spell crits and then perhaps start putting points into the EoF wrath line a few points in each until I hit smite evil, then go back to the STA line for melee crits.  Right now I have 8/8/8/8 STA and 4/4/8 INT and a couple points somewhere else that I can't remember lol... I have done the wrath line 3 points in each to brimstone and put 3 points in righteousness and 4 points into our health bonus.  The AA is now coming REALLY slowly for me (67aa) and so I have some time to think about it.</DIV>

<DIV>The question you need to ask yourself is what/how do you want to play.  If you are going solo/group it's going to be different if you're raiding, raiding is different if you are MA or MT.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At 70 I group tank fairly well, get my [Removed for Content] handed to me if I'm MT in a raid, which I rarely/never am.  If you're not raiding I would recommend INT, STA, STR lines, and WRATH, HEAL or the far right... I don't know what's it called being I'm not doing it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The one AA that I'm looking forward to... I would take points from KOS and put it into EOF if I could...  is the cure at the bottom of the utility line.  I cannot tell you how many times I have fired off castigate only to have it light up again like a christmas tree 2 secs later.  I haven't played with it yet to tell you how effective it is.  I'm also going for the extra heal (although the wrath line is really tempting).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>KOS, I would recommend INT for spell crits, STR for speed increase, and STA for hammer ground and melee crits.</DIV>

<DIV>Well, I'm looking to remain flexible enough to do some raiding down the road, but nothing crazy.  It looks like, and correct me if I'm wrong, that maybe I should start out by investing points in INT for a bit, and then maybe STR before moving on to EoF AA lines?  I sort of hate having to use an axe, but what can you do!</DIV>

Aye, the axe isn't my first choice either, I have a really nice 2 handed fabled sword.  Try this... set up a hot bar and pull your axe and primary weapon onto it.  Start with your axe, hit swift axe, then click on your primary weapon.  When swift axe runs out... switch back to your axe and repeat.  It works really sweet!

INT and STA lines. While I have not gone to the last ability in any of the KOS lines I did max out the crit chances as well as INT.
