<P>Now that paladins can use bows I was wondering what I should do with the cedar I have kept in storage for my now other <FONT color=#ffff00>paladin on PVP that is 40</FONT>.<BR><BR>I was saving it for a shield pre LU24 so now there is no other use for it that I can think of besides an imbued 1hdr or 2hdr.<BR><BR>His agi is around 80-90 depending on gear in use.<BR><BR>I see you can have the long bow for str / sta or short bow for str / agi.<BR><BR>I currently have a steel tablet in range that I will upgrade for T5 and figure I can swap something in there that gives good broad stats with resists and can put in the bow for plucking down pvp runners or what ever.</P> <P> </P> <P>(<U><EM><STRONG>edited and emphasized since people keep missing the level of the character and talking about T6 and T7 stuff</STRONG></EM></U>.)</P><p>Message Edited by Brigh on <span class=date_text>11-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:54 AM</span>

Only time I use my bow is ranged raid encounters due to the aoe. I have a bow with a 2.0 delay and I just pour adamantine arrows into the mob as I spot heal and ward as needed. Most symbols destroy bows in terms of stats, power, health, resists, etc. They are a situational tool. Now if we ever got the good T7 fabled bows, I might change my mind, but unless you are in a guild that uses DKP and you are willing to [Removed for Content] off every raid scout in the guild waiting for one to drop, you likely won't see one. Raincaller is looking promising even though it is T6. I have a T7 legendary bow as well with a nice proc on it, might throw an adornment on it as well if I ever find one that does more than add 12 piercing to every shot. Come on SOE, these adornments are FABLED, show a little love!<div></div>

<P>I absolutely love the raincaller. It procs a lot, and can do some nice damage. I did a /weaponstats thing on it last night and it *said* that actual damage from it could hit up to 1400-ish for me... I haven't ever seen that, but if true that could really pour on decent ranged DPS, as opposed to the few ranged spells we used to have to use.</P> <P>~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul</P>

<P>You can not adorn an imbued item.</P> <P>Keep in mind I said the paladin is level 40, so talk about T6/7 items are out of the question.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>Ah, sorry. Since I wasn't able to use bows when i was in that content I'm not sure if there are any fantastic ones to go after... I'd assume if you're getting one crafted, that the ceder would be good, and i think I'd go for the imbue over any adornment. The proc on the imbue is probably better than any adornment you could pop on there, particularly at that level. Going on assumption on what I know of t7 crafted bows, adornments and assuming it all scales back about the same for T5.</P> <P>~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul</P>

<P>I just wish the rare crafted bows had resists on them like EQ1 so we could keep the bow in range all the time for stats.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I saw a non imbued cedar long bow someone had on the broker for 12p.</DIV> <DIV>It was level 40 usable, with about 57 health and 40ish power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either this is a pre LU 24 bow, or just someone putting up for some high price for a non selling reason.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't know what the stats are on cedar long bows that are non imbued these days so I can't tell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It had better rating and a lot more stats than the imbued long bow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I don't think I'll ever Buy a Bow. Just did the Rain Caller HQ in EoF, for the few times I might even think about useing a Bow, that one will do me just fine. Has some nice stats if I'm soloing or Off tanking, but normally i'll just use my Cobalt Censer(spelling is wrong I'm sure hehe) I don't need a bow to pull, the spells work fine for that. And the way alot of zones/areas are anyway, it's Body Pull for the Win. The lost art of Body Pulling is one of the greatest tools to master /nod

Many of my current weapons (level 40 Pally) have dual procs, and now that they fixed how procs look on the weapons I'm not as frustrated coming out of the gate. Ghoulbane became a useless weapon proc-wise to me doing 1-7 divine damage to undead...lol.</P> <P> </P>

Turns out that 12p bow is a pre LU24 bow, hence the uber stats for today.Oh well. I will just swap some other ranged item in while not using the imbued cedar I had made.Adornments are just too insanely priced....50g-6p for level 40.

<DIV>For those that want some high hits on their bow, equip it with crushing arrows when going after corsolander and see the high hits from it. I was with several bow users the other night in Labs and was hitting for 2 K- 3K on the raincaller on that mob. Was pretty fun just standing back tossing damage spells and arrows at the mob..<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Ok, so for the paladin who is a bow n00b, what kind of arrows can you get and what are they called? I know the tiers, but I notice there are a couple different types of arrows for some tiers.</DIV>
