I solo a lot with my Paladin, and I chose to go str line first: 4/4/4/4/8. You get extra damage from the str points, a really nice CA that gives a big chunk of haste, some permanent haste, a modifier to your hate generation (which will not help you solo but will make you more popular as a group tank), and a flat 10% speed increase in all casting, recovery, and recast timers, which is IMO very much worth the points spent. That last ability not only allows you to cycle your damage arts and spells faster, but also allows you to put out more healing/warding, and reduces annoyingly long casting times making them less likely to interupt auto attack or get interupted by damage. You will get the most mileage from all the haste with a slower weapon, so if you have a choice you will want to gravitate towards weapons with long delays. <div></div>
<P>I've not messed with the EoF AAs yet, but for the KoS ones, I am going solid on attributes and down the wisdom line.</P> <P>Str 8/0/0/0</P> <P>Agi 0/0/0/0</P> <P>Sta 8/0/0/0</P> <P>Wis 5/4/4/4/8</P> <P>Int 8/0/0/0</P> <P>I primarily solo and rarely raid (and most of the time for that it is for HQs)</P> <P>I didn't go down the str line because a pally with an axe just seems wrong to me (opinion)</P>

Personally, I took full advantage of the extra haste in the STR line and put the rest of them into STA. With the recent changes to combat and some of the comments in this thread ---> <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=combat&message.id=117135" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=combat&message.id=117135</A> , I threw some into boosting my AGI stat as well.

I think you would get much more DPS output using a 2 hander. I could be wrong though...let us know.

<DIV>Well im not sure if its just me or just at low but mobs resist our spell way too much , at least 60% of time , even the faithfull swing etc...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Single mob even con , i run out of power , not sure if its intended or not but quite stupid</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im 17 fighting even orc or blue ones and i gotta rest on every single fight..</DIV>
<DIV>Garlic,</DIV> <DIV>Just want to make sure I understand correctly that you <EM>have</EM> been able to earn AAs below level 20? Everything I've come across on the boards seems to say that you can't gain them until level 20, but I guess there's been a recent change? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is of particular interest to me because I will be starting a new "main" character soon (am currently away on an <EM>extended</EM> business trip, heh) and I can't log in to figure it out personally.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for your time!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dexe</DIV>

If you're soloing, INT is the way to go. 8 points in the 3rd rank of INT gives you an incredible 68% boost in crit spell damage chances. After that, I'd say str or sta.<div></div>

<div></div>for paladin solo power you will either want to maximize your DPS or your survivability. the easiest way to do either is by going down int line, which will give you both, popping 8 points into heal and spell crit, and the rest into your int, assuming you are going to use a sheild. i have a similar setup only i spent on the symbol attack skill and its pretty nice to have on board, but i miss my spell crit a bit =/. i may spend the 1g and respec yet again lolafter doing this just pop the rest of your points into STR till you are at the bottom skill and pop 8 into that, its a wonderful boost all around and i wouldnt give it up for anything<div></div><p>Message Edited by Odinwray Treewalker on <span class=date_text>11-21-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:52 AM</span>
