Hey, I just got my bow and bought a million arrows, went and ANT and killed my first mob. As soon as you hit the mob it comes running to you making the bow useless. This is going to take forever...

What we need is a tough mob that can take a beating that will stand still and let us shoot it yet not kill us... sounds like the epic mob (low 40's if I remember correctly) in Nek Castle in one of the girls bedroom (anyone remember which one??). You should be able to stand on the other side of the room and pluck him with arrows.

Your best bet is to dup with another pally and just tank/taunt and the other autattack ranged and swap after each mob.

Been awhile since i have been in the normal nek castle zone, do you have to iniate the quest to kill the sisters/locket quest for the rooted demon to be there or is he a permanent fixture(heheh) when you zone into the castle? Whatever the case, i wouldnt mind doing this and fire away from the distance automatically while i work on my bills in front of the pc, heheh. On a different note, is there any confirmed spells/combat arts we have that raise our subjectation skill or is it leftover from before the paladin from class 1 change long ago?

I honestly can't remember... all I know is everytime I run through there with toons he's there. Even if you have to initiate... at 70 it won't take long to do whats necessary to get to that point (kill the priest, get the note, go upstairs, get the quest then you should be good to go.)

About the subjectation... I don't think so... I remember when they brought the change in reading this skill is no longer an issue for us.

Archfiend Izzoroth pops in the southeast tower. You have to kill all of the handmaidens and all of the sisters except for the two that pop on the catwalk, they won't pop unless you're on the quest. You don't have to get the quest or anything for Izzoroth to pop.

He's an SK, gear for disease resist. Assuming you're level 70 and properly geared his pet will do a tiny bit of damage to you and the rest comes from a disease dot.

I bought the cheapest elm shortbow and the cheapest tin arrows, lots of them, and tried this last night. Just clicked ranged attack and did nothing else but heal myself. I went from 10 to 135 and it took about an hour and a half and ten stacks of arrows.

I could have kept going but it was late and I dozed off around 100 and stopped healing myself. It took him another 25 minutes but he managed to kill me.

That's why fishing with a bow is easier. No death chance.

Took me approx 5000 tin arrows and a few hours for 350.

~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

try to find a low delay bow as well. usually a short bow has 4.5 and the long bow has a 7.0 delay.

I was surprised to find last night that I was doing more DPS in a group as an archer than standing toe-to-toe with the Sword of Pain. Even with an adornment adding a divine proc on the sword.
