STR gives more then WIS , double the power I think.http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=10&message.id=16016we will be gettting some more power too in the coming expansion I think:

Classes that use multiple stats for power pools have had their maximum power possible increase by up to +25% if they are high enough in both stats. This is to offset the difficulty of having to increase multiple stats

uhhhh no

INT gives power pools

STR gives the ability to carry more objects/do more melee dmg

WIS raises total resists

The original reply is correct, STR and WIS determine the paladin power pool, with STR giving more than WIS.

STR affects melee CA damage as well as carrying capacity. INT affects spell damage but does not have any effect on power whatsover.

STR gives the ability to carry more object/do more melee dmg/ AND gives us power.WIS increases total resists AND gives us power. Mouse over your stats when you're playing a crusader, and you'll see.

The effect of this secondary stat however has been limited up until now because of having to keep two stats as high as possible and you will notice that (gear aside) Paladins (and SK's) seem to have less power than the other fighter classes. We also have some very power hungry abilities (esp. heals and wards) which makes power management a key part of being a Paladin and has made soloing a real challenge on the tougher mobs (i.e. oop = death). I for one am pleased to see this recognition in the next update and look forward to the 25% increase in Wisdom effects, especially since in my Def stance both STR and WIS are at the current cap levels.

Message Edited by MatheosII on 10-09-2006 01:22 PM

How do you get to lvl 70 and not know what controls your character's power pool?

Lamprey_02 wrote:

How do you get to lvl 70 and not know what controls your character's power pool?

I would imagine by grouping most or all of the time and relying on the efforts of others. I can't believe any paladin would solo to 70 and not know what got him there.
