To get better INT, I use two Chaos Imbued Hex Dolls. The ones for your level are Pristine Chaos Imbued Burlap Hex Doll. But you can also boost other stats if desired using other types of hex dolls. Tailors make these, and they are available via the broker. Another point is that a hex doll gives you a ranged debuff attack that uses none of your power. I set up macros for mine. To create a hex doll macro, click the EQ2 button, then Socials, then the Macros tab. My hex doll macros look like this:
Macro Name: Do that Voodoo! Command Line 1: /e starts sticking dagger-like pins in the the chaos hex doll! Command Line 2: /gsay Chaos Hex! -784 MIT vs. magical damage Command Line 3: /USE_Equipped_Item 20
This assumes the hex doll is equipped in the top charm slot. The bottom charm slot would have the third line be: /USE_Equipped_Item 21 (3) Light Source Don't futz around with a torch. There are no brighter sources of light that I've found, but the charm slot is too valuable to use a torch. Soon you will be able to begin the Heritage Quest Return of the Light, which will bag you a nice light-giving pendant, the Greater Lightstone. You can start this probably around level 16 or so with a group. About the time you outgrow that, you will be able to do the Heritage Quest Training is a Shield to get the Shiny Brass Shield, which also gives light. But the best solution to dim dark hard-to-see conditions I've found is to go to the EQ2 button, then Options, and look for the Gamma Setting. Increase gamma until the world is a bit brighter. (4) Ranged Slot You didn't mention the Ranged Slot, but I thought I'd point out that it's a great place to put a tome, symbol, idol or tablet to boost stats and resistances. Jewelers can make these items, and they are also available on the broker.

Message Edited by Seidhkona on 09-29-2006 09:10 AM

I say this because I still see level 70 characters doing it....

You don't have to put totems in a charm slot to use them. You will notice that they (Among other things like flying carpets for example) say "Slot: Charm (Optional)". The (Optional) tells you that it can be used from your inventory and can also be hotkeyed on your task bar. You can use it from inventory by simply right clicking it then selecting "Use" or you can left click it and drag the icon to your task bar (aka tool bar) and then you can use it from there.

For T7 HQ upgrades from GLS, SBS, etc, Wurmslayer has GLS as well.
