Got a question about pally's and the betrayal quest

<DIV>Got a pally I've been thinking about betraying.  If I betray,  will I automatically be assigned a shadowknight or will I be given a choice to make him an inquisitor as well seeing as that it is the same sub-class?   Also, is there any way through the betrayal quest I  can take a paladin and make him a templar since they are both crusaders?      Thanks for the help in advance.</DIV>

He could only become a Shadowknight. Paladins and Shadowknights were Fighter -> Crusader. Templars and Inquisitors were from the Priest -> Cleric tree.
