<DIV>Hi!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm trying to figure out what's up with healing crits and our ward/direct heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Before I even had it/tested it, I assumed that heal crit is 30% more healing done (similar to combat art crits). I also assumed that our Ward doesn't crit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However in practice I found out (using tooltip stating damage remaining on the ward) that our Ward can crit and when it crits it is 15% more (1196 vs. 1040 at Master I lvl 54 Ward).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't been able to gather reliable statistics for Pious Aid yet, but what little I was able to do shows that:</DIV> <DIV>- Master I Pious Aid is 637-779. I have it at Master II, so it's higher. Don't remember off-hand but I think top number is 800-something, I think it's less than 850.</DIV> <DIV>- I have seen Pious Aid crit for over 1k. 850 * 1.15 = 977. Thus crit bonus seems to be higher than 15%, perhaps 30% as I thought originally.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, anyone knows exactly what heal crit bonuses are there for our heals (Ward and direct heal)? Is it 15% for Ward and 30% for DH? Are they intended to be different or is it perhaps a bug?</DIV>

Our ward definitely crits. There was a bug a while back where crit wards did *no* protection <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />As to 15 or 30%, interesting question.

Are you taking into account the heal reduction on the ward from taking damage?  Normally, it absorbs damage (and cannot crit), but if it expires, then it applies a heal for the remaining value, and that can crit.As a side point, I think heals can also be reduced when the subject reaches full health.  The heal would report the amount it actually added to their health, not the full heal/crit value.

I remember hearing that crits are guaranteed max amount plus up to 40% more- thus a crit will be 100-140% of max amount. I have no idea if this is accurate, however, I do know that crits are 100%+ and random each cast.  So it does work along these lines, it is not static but a random roll. <div></div>

<DIV>Hmmm, i always thought it was 30% more on a crit but you guys have me thinking now.  I guess when i get a little time i will fall a moderate distance(griphon tower) and test the heal percentage/ward percentage out and get a baseline.  I changed my color of text diisplay to be different when it shows a ward critting versus my healing crits, along with changing my dead people text to range red instead of grey to see in rezzing.  Should be easy to test ward being as it is a static number on warded protection...<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Again, to make it absolutely clear -- some patches ago SOE added feature where you can see tooltip for the Ward in the "maintained spells" window and it'll show you the amount of "ward" remaining.</P> <P>That's how I tested Ward critical healing. I'd cast Ward at full hit points and mouse-over that icon to check the amount. I've seen two variants:</P> <P>1040 (default amount)<BR>1196 (crit; apparently a +15% value)</P> <P>It is possible that this feature is weirdly broken, but I rather doubt it.</P>
