<DIV>I've seen several posts of "I have hit 1k DPS" and such through the forums, but I'm trying to get a good idea of what type of DPS is considered "good" for us to have <U>consistantly</U> in a T7 raid setting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know some depends on gear, spell quality, and group make-up. So, I guess keep that in mind when posting your 'average' for a raid. If you get an unusually high or low parse average, can you please quantify it with why? (Such as fully fabled T7 gear or decked out with an extreme DPS-enhancing group, or possibly explaining that you needed to augment the healers with wards and such for many fights to keep the MTs up).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm trying to get a baseline to aim at for my DPS. I show up on the viewable DPS parses for our raids maybe...I'll say 50% of the time. However, it's not smoking hot numbers there. Hook a brother up and let me know where I should be falling. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul</DIV>

Also your dps varies based on if you are also helping heal or etc.... If I am helping heal only the MT and not the group/raid then I avg throughout the entire raid 400-500 dps, but I am geared for healing/tanking and not dps. I can see dps hitting 600-800 depending on how much heal/tanking power you give up to get dps.</div>

So many variables.... In general 6-800 is a good range. Using wyrmslayer is a droag zone is a nice boost too, the proc on that is sick. I am not too big into the dps thing, but with capped INT, all masters, couple different fabled 2hers, little AA help, and haste and dps buffs, I try to go for 1k, usually end up in the 800-900 range when I try. Consecrate is huge when it's up. If you heal, let alone rezz, much, that will take you way down. Highest I ever hit was like 1200. These guys who show a 2k parse prolly did it on a huge pack of mobs, I am talking about 1-3 mob encounters and nameds. If you are hitting 600 dps while doing heal and occasional rezz duty thats pretty good, par for the course. I'd rather parse a few hundred lower and help with the healing than try and blast out the dps all the time. We are completely at the whim of how much INT and haste/ dps mod we can get from our group. If I parse under 500 for a few fights I don't pout. We don't have the luxury of being able to sit back and still parse well off auto attack like some scouts could do if they felt lazy. <div></div>

<DIV>Yeah, I know there are a ton of variables. I apologize for the vagueness there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically, my guild has begun paying special attention to overall sustainable DPS for various classes. Being as though I am one of 2 raiding paladins for my guild, we don't have much to compare me to, to see what I can tweak to bring it up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On the one hand, I am regularly asked to help out the healers keeping out MT up (all that healing and warding severely impacts my DPS), and I am often asked to rez people, etc. On the other, I'd like to get my DPS up as much as possible without having to give up too much of the augmentation I provide our healers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think I parsed out at about 450 or so average for an entire run in Lyceum (someone else's parse, so I don't know how close I was, if they included any failed attempts, etc). About half the time, I was *not* in a DPS-optimum group (meaning little to no DPS mod, and the only haste I had was my own). I had to back up the healers on all named encounters, and some of the "trash" just to be safe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That being said, is 450 a horrible average for the entire run of Lyceum? I did note that I would be on both the DPS and healers parse lists regularly, though towards the bottom of those viewable in chat. So, I assume I wasn't doing THAT bad in comparison. Any feedback from others?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul</DIV><p>Message Edited by Wulfborne on <span class=date_text>08-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:13 PM</span>
