<DIV>Just trying to pass some useful information to fellow tanks.  If you have a warlock and a assisan in the group, you are going to have to change your amends for what mobs your going to fight.  If your about to pull a large group of down arrows, your amends better be on the warlock, or you will have a dead squishy.  If your going to pull a single mob then change your amends to the assisan.  Learned this in SoS the other night.  After I figured this out, I had no problem holding agro.</DIV>

I've never placed amends on an assassin with a warlock or other caster in group. Thats why assassin's have a hate transfer......If you aren't holding aggro on single ups something is wrong somewhere.<div></div>

The assassin wasn't bothering to assist you. With hate transfer from assassin and amends on warlock, you should like NEVER lose aggro (maybe 1 out of 100 pulls you lose it for a period of 1 second or less) Thundaarr Unrest <Nightcap><div></div>

That kind of situation just shows your lack of updating armor/ bad judgement of pulls/not being responceable enough to call out wards/reactives.</P> <P>There are many more basic guidelines-but these I believe are among the most important to know/acknowledge--anyone else feel free to put in more:smileywink:<BR></P>

<DIV>I'm a 66 pally.  I was in SoS last night with a group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Had amends on the 70 warlock.  Had a 65 Brigand who could steal aggro ever fight...and did.  It didnt' seem to bother anyone because he usually stole aggro when the mob was just about dead.  The mob would swing at him 1 or twice and then it'd die.  I have Rightouness(sp?) at Master 2 and it's what I pull with.  And almost ever time reguardless of how often I did my sheild bash and taunts he could steal aggro at will.  Luckly he was smart enough to figure this out and only use it at the end of fights.</DIV>

Brigands are very strange when it comes to aggro, the only thing that saves them a lot is the fact that they have a couple nice de-aggros'.....but some of there skills are direct hate increasers as well....besides a good Brig will outdps a good Warlock all the time, so amends the Brig <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />...and all my taunts are App2, does that make me a bad tank?<div></div>

<P>I guess there was some mis understanding.  I had no problems holding agro, and my spells are upgraded.  Also when I said singles, I ment x3 heroic by himself, a single or only 1 3x heroic, as opposed to a group of mobs.  No one died because I had aggro the whole time.</P> <P>Just saying evalute your group.  If you have a class in your group that does outstanding against a group of mobs like a warlock, put admends on him if your about to pull a group of mobs.  If your about to pull 1 3x heroic then have your admends on the class that does better against a single encounter.  A assisan or brig scout class will out dps a warlock in a single encounter.  Where a warlock will out dps a scout class against a group of mobs.  So change your admends.  Both the Assisan and the warlock was amazed how I was able to hold agro with them going all out, because I was able to figure this out.</P>

If you swap amends on and off of an assassin, you're not going to get the benefit of murderous designs.  Personally, if I have a warlock, that's where amends stays all the time.  If a scout consistently pulls agro, it's their fault, so I'm not going to worry about it, but I really don't see that happening with a warlock in the group, and especially not with an assassin.<div></div>
