<DIV>Hi guys, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>now i know this has probably been discussed on the forumns before, but i wanted some fresh opinions. i two box with a paladin on one machine and an assassin on the other. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does the assassin hate transfer stack with amends? Now, i asked the assassin channel in game and they all seemed to be (quite arrogantly in some cases) of the opinion that it does not stack. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fair enough, but the reason that i was asking this was that in group, if i dont put amends on my assassin (who always has hate transfer on me as MT) then she pulls agro almost everyfight. if i do put amends on her, then she doesnt pull the agro. same toon, same weapons/poisons, same dungeon, same series of attacks. This seems to suggest to me that it in fact DOES stack. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Additionally, both the amends and assassin hate transfer icons are appearing on both screens (i know that the presence of icons doesnt necessarily = the effect working. but i offer it as a secondary line of argument). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>anyways, was wondeirng if anyone out there had any thought on this. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sanjji</DIV>

From what I have seen, it seems to be stacking. I have a 70 Paladin, and I was grouped with a 70 Assassin, and we dropped our hate transfers on each other and I didn't even have to taunt to keep aggro (Yes, the assassin was doing a LOT of dmg).. so from what I have seen, it looks like it is working, but there is really no way to know 100% if it is unless a Dev says something. <div></div>

<DIV>Official word or not it is safer to assume the worse than to expect the best. If your Amends is master 1 at 41% and his hate transfer is 32%, i would have him drop his and just have Amends on him. I still think he who casts lasts sticks on this situation, so if he had his hate transfer on you 1st then you cast amends, i believe it is actually only counting the amends number. Personally i like to cast amends on somebody else and have the assassin toss his on me, give me all your agro...<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I play a level 70 assassin as my main and have a level 70 paladin alt. Amends (someone else) + Scout transfer (assassin/swash) + Dirge is horribly broken, even before you try to use sigl of heroism. It breaks by putting aggro back to the dirge most of the time. (Same thing with coercer, btw). Amends + Scout transfer is ok, but breaks 50% of the time and needs a recast. I use it anyway and warn the scout as I think it is useful.I don't use sigil of heroism unless it is just amends, no other hate transfer or buff. Everything breaks far too often with added transfers.<div></div>

<div></div>If you havePaladinAssassinSwashbucklerand you cast amends on swashy, assassin casts HT on you:(A)<blockquote>Paladin casts amends ->> SwashyAssassin casts Murderous Design -> Paladin</blockquote>Bad(B)<blockquote>Assassin casts Murderous Design -> PaladinPaladin casts amends ->> Swashy</blockquote>GoodIf you are in situation (B) and you use sigil of heroism SOMETIMES bad things happen, such as hate transferring to assassin. Better to not use Sigil.(C)Any order of <blockquote>Assassin casts Murderous Design -> Paladin Paladin casts amends ->> SwashyDirge casts hate buff ->> Paladin</blockquote>Bad. Very bad. Do not let scout cast HT on you, or if he does cancel it and (order is important):<blockquote>Dirge casts hate buff ->> Paladin Paladin casts amends ->> Swashy</blockquote>Hope that helps.Edit - want to add : if anyone dies or leaves group for a sec - recast everything. If in doubt, recast everything.<div></div><p>Message Edited by khufure on <span class=date_text>08-11-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:49 PM</span>

I've never seen any problems with it at all. I haven't noticed any differences when the order of what's cast when. I've grouped with em all at different times, cast amends on whoever in the group will be my best amends target. I haven't seen any thing to show me the order of when there cast really matters. These just could be my experinces but /shrug

Well I guess you are lucky. The bug happens all the time and does exist. The best way I have seen of mitigating - or even making the bug work in your favor - is to cast amends last.<div></div>

<div></div>This has been brought up tons' of times' and the constant posts are probably starting to confuse people, since others' don't know how to use the search function. Here you go, the final word:1) Amends on an Assassin while he has Murderous Design on you, will lead to aggro problems IF the Assassin is going all out2) Amends on a Swashie while he has Swarthy Deception on you, will lead to aggro problems IF the Swashie is going all out. There are no other stacking issues at all.....By going all out, I mean an Assassin or Swashie who is doing the dps they should be doing, not 300.....of course if they are doing 300 dps they aren't going to pull aggro from you....but Assassin and Swashies can easily put out > 1500 dps, and in that case they will die, no matter what you do.<div></div><p>Message Edited by MeridianR on <span class=date_text>08-15-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:32 AM</span>

<DIV>If I amends someone I always make sure they know to turn HT's off. Besides that I haven't noticed an issue at all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would bet that many problems occur when someone is "Amended" without knowing. Then they put a HT on you and waa laa aggro loss.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I usually like to do the following during raids when i tank.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If fighting lots of group mobs. Pull a Warlock in and Amends them. Add a coercer, a couple of healers for flavor and a dirge and you got a stew.</DIV> <DIV>Single target mobs I like Brigands for aggro control (AOE immunity means constant dps of 1K plus) but not always practical for min/maxing. You can put several different dps classes in.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are several set ups that will work but just throwing my 2 coppers in here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
