<DIV>How important are the weapon restrictions in determining the Paladin AA lines?  I noticed the Int line requires a symbol in my secondary... the agi requires a spear... the str requires an ax.  Can I just hot key a weapon from each class, and switch them mid fight to use whichever AA ability I want?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In short, should I take weapon limitations into considerations in choosing my AA lines?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hakanek</DIV>

Hotkeying weapons take time. The first swap you can do almost instantaneouly but the next 'swap' takes about 5-10s to complete.<div></div>

<DIV>I really have no idea why it takes you 5-10s to switch out weapons.  I do just hotkey my weapons.  I have a hammer, axe, and sword hotkey and switch between them all the time.  It only takes 2s to switch weapons, usually by the time I'm done using the special attack the 2s time limit is up and I can immediately switch to a different weapon.  I like it, makes combat more interesting, and throws some variety in.</DIV>

<P>Now, I'm not in game at the moment, and I feel like an idiot for not knowing off the top of my head... but the INT line is limited by "If symbol equipped in secondary" right?</P> <P>Meaning I would have to be using a 1 handed primary with a symbol, sacrificng the protection of a shield?  Its not possible to use a symbol in the secondary when you have a 2 hander is it?  Or does secondary count as ranged?</P> <P> </P> <P>Hakanek</P> <P>Unrest</P>

So you can't use a 2 hander for damage and you can't use a shield for protection. Having a symbol in your ranged slot doesn't count as having a symbol in your secondary slot.

<div></div>I never really bothered to switch out a weapon / shield for the sta/int AA attacks, they seem pretty negligible and not worth the effort. Only reason I took Int is for the crits for example which work fine with no symbol, the silly little attack that comes with it I only use during ranged fights. The axe ability is kind of neat..since it gives you haste not sure about agility I'll never in a million years go down it so I can't remember what it does offhand.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Aamadex on <span class=date_text>07-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:59 AM</span>

It's quick and it's a spell which means it's subject to the Int line's spell crit improvements. It's a ranged attack which we need more of, and it's magic instead of divine. This helps in the rare duel when your opponent has cheesed himself out with divine resistance knowing he's fighting a Paladin.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically it's like having another Hallowed Judgment on the toolbar.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
