I'm not sure if this has been posted about before but I think we get the shaft when it comes to our quested helm since mitigation scales to your level and our quested helm is equipable at level 60 instead of lvl 67 like everyone elses. I am just curious if neone knows how bad of a mitigation percentage we are getting screwed compared to other tanks.

Just continue to /bug report it, it hopefully will be fixed. I'm sure its minimal, its 7 levels difference, so maybe .7? o.O heck if I know!

The difference in that 7 levels can be bigger than just 7 levels though.

sure for normal tanking I don't think it's a huge deal, Say SoS, some PoA stuff, but when, at level 70 your going against mobs that are yellow or higher /shrug your talking about a lvl 60 plate helm's effective Mit against a level /shrug 71+ mob, that's a 11+ difference. Just like the T6 stuff was getting knocked to crap when I hit T7 mobs that were 10+ levels higher than My armor. /shrug

I got mine at 67/68 I think was a nice upgrade for me for sure. Thing that gets me is the lvl 60/61 Pallies that get it /shrug I mean great for them, but honestly they were gifen it buy guildiess or friends hehe, I mean what lvl 60/61 should even think about going into HoF. Then they have the balls to brag about having it /shrug

Perhaps I'm bitter this morning hehe might need more coffee /nod

No I agree completely, it needs to be changed! But he was asking the difference between our hat and other fighters hat, and that will always be 7 levels difference.

Previous posters are dead on for the effects of the armor versus higher up players. My only advice is like what others have been doing and /bug it to get the devs to finally change it(I am hoping they change the pidgeon wings to a more draconic wing while they are at it). With the difference of 7 levels i am going out on a limb and saying you are receiving at least a 5% reduction on that particular armor piece, with a bigger drop if it was dropped to a lower tier. Only way to say for sure is to compare to another pallie only helm with like stats but higher level...
There's an easy way to test it. Take off your helm, note your miti%. Put it on, note the difference. Have an SK do the same. I would say the diff between us and them will be noticible, but i highly doubt as much as 5% difference.

Pulling numbers out of the hat but if a normal piece of 67 min level helm is say 5% additional mitigation to the tank, a piece that is 7 levels lower may only be giving the user a additional 4 or 4.5 % instead. Doesnt sound like much but each % adds up quickly when those mobs are hitting like a mac truck. The only way the OP could lose 5% total would be to forget to equip his Hoo Luk Helm...
