enjoilabel wrote:
does anyone else think amends in pvp is worthless??

That's a good question. Haven't seen enough pallies to see it in action but my understanding is aggro is pretty much an on off switch, right? So any kind of threat transfer would be worthless. Those de-aggro abilities are wicked powerful and annoying though, eh? And my favorite tactic is to let someone pass me by and get behind me going for the squishies and then throw the taunt. hahaha oh noes you're not targeting someone you can't see are you?

5% chance to change targets in PVP is garbage. This needs jacked up to at least 25% chance.

Sigil of Heroism, awesome.

Redemption? Don't bother. For PvP you'll want any tank besides a Paladin. Paladin is just a half-healer in PvP.

not sure what you've based that on... Paladin is the best group PVP tank. Resists, heals, flexibility.

I heard that the guardian is the best tank for holding aggro, as it has enough taunts to hold a whole group on you, if you have a good healer, you can shut down an enemy group for everything but AoEs.

Only thing a guardian has that a pally doesn't have, for taunts, is a 35% proc to cast annoy when damaged. So if one AOEs a group, the guardian has a 35% chance to change the attackers target to the guardian. Other than that we're both looking at three taunts that have the exact same effect.

just to let people know when your pally gets to lvl 35-40 then he kicks [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in PVP my PVP record was 100 kills-300deaths when i hit lvl35. but then i started getting great armor and spells and now im the 4 ranked pally on vox 750kills 345deaths destroyer at that. amends do suck in PVP and i dont use them what i do use is the instent heals group heals and that kick [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] master ward at lvl 40 wards for like 750 every 24 seconds. if you are going to pvp with a pally hang in till lvl 35 and get the good armor fabled stuff/ max out your WIS AA it adds like 300 to all resists. the gear you need should be with as much RESIST as you can find to save your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. also i like the armor i have every ppeice has a 5% chance to proc 200 damage.

Guardians and Berserkers have a chance to proc a taunt every time they're hit. That chance is 30% on berserkers and 50% on guardians (I think).

Monks and Bruisers have a buff where every attack has a 50% chance to proc a taunt. So every other hit on someone is going to force them to switch target to the monk.

Paladin has a buff that is put on a single group member and gives them a 5% chance to proc a taunt onto the Paladin when they are struck. The Shadowknight's caress spell line does nothing in PvP but a small damage shield.

So every fighter has a means to keep a group or at least most of a group targeted onto the tank instead of someone else except for the Paladin & Shadowknight.

Those are the PVE values for the procs. They're not near as effective in PVP.
