<DIV>Shadow Knights and Paladins are mortal enemies. But in-game, there's little to make you think it. The following is an idea to keep reminding players of this rivalry, and aide roleplaying.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Have a quest for both Paladins and Shadow Knights, to hand in, say two of the same adept 1's of the other class. The justification? That the paladin guild, and the shadow knight guild, want to reduce the power of the other. They want fewer adept 1's around for their rival, so the rival class is weaker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So this doesn't unfairly reduce the power of Paladins and Shadow Knights, the reward for the quest might be an adept 1. The will mean, common adept 1's of the other class will be bought up, but potentially, rarer adepts 1's will be obtainable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Obviously exact details would change in testing for balance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Example:</STRONG></DIV> <DIV>Gnash the Ogre Shadow Knight, hands in two adept 1 copies of a level 34 Paladin skill/spell. In one case, he roleplayed a bitter argument with a paladin player when claiming need before greed on looting the adept 1 (a player who didnt actually need the adept 1). He is rewarded with a level 34 Shadow Knight skill/spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This could be implemented with a one-to-one swap, but that might quite a big advantage to both classes, as it would make it a fair bit easier to get the rarer adepts for both classes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If the idea worked out, it could be extended to Master 1 spells/skills ... but that would need to be carefully thought through. If they got that wrong, it could get players quite upset.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What do you guys think? If you don't like it, have you ways to adjust the idea, or new ideas to add more to the rivalry between these bitter enemies.</DIV>
