<DIV>Hi - my Pally is just nearing 40 and I am not sure what gear I should be shooting for. Currently I have a mish-mash of different armor that is OK but looks terrible. What do most people have around these levels? I looked at the broker hoping that maybe at lvl 40 some good new armor becomes commonly available but there really wasn't anything that great even searching up to lvl 45. Are there any AQs that I should be doing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any suggestions are most appreciated!</DIV>

<P>When I hit level 40 (this was a while ago granted) I noticed a good boost in my overall defensive skills and felt I have really (similarly to lvl 20) come into my own. I was more than happy with my Fulginate Armour for both the stats and defence it gave me but delighted with my Ebon if you can afford that. There are also some excellent ieces - chest i remember - called Enchanted Rubicite - I think its enchanted but there are 2 varieties anyway and you dont want the cheap vanilla version.</P> <P>Sorry can't be 100% specific but Ogaming will help there.</P>

<P>I JUST regeared my Pally yesterday, after he dinged 40. Sets to look into in order of weakest to strongest: Nightblood / Pristine or Imbued Fulginate / Orc Legionaire / Ebon. The Ebon is unequivocally superior, but also vastly expensive. The Imbued BP and Greaves from Fulginate / Ebon can have nice magical abilities that make them better values than the other pieces. Orc Legionaire is probably the best bang for your buck, it is rewarded for a quest in Deathfist Citadel, 3 pieces at a time. So if you see one for sale, check that merchant for more.</P> <P>Hakanek</P>

<DIV>Also, the desert chitin armor is decent. Better than fulginate, not as good as ebon. after the quest it only costs you a copper to buy and repairing it is free. I wore fulginate until I reached the levels where the various pieces of chitin were unlocked.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but yeah, definitly shoot for ebon if you can. If you can mine T3 zones definitely invest the time getting it up to T5 zones, and mine the ebon yourself. reduces the cost of a piece of ebon from 1.5 plat to the time it took to mine + the armorer's fee, usually a few gold. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but until you reach that time, you can usually find the market flooded with cheap pristine imbued fulginate. That's the most cost effective path to go until you are ready to upgrade again. </DIV>
