Hey, just made a Paladin and I am really enjoying it, I had one in EQ1, but I was just wondering, what are the most important stats to us?<div></div>

Generally the most important stats are the same from eq1. Stamina for hp is important. I would follow that closely by agility. Agility doesn't work like in eq1 where it effects your procs and such. Instead agility in eq2 effects your avoidance number, how well you avoid a mobs attack. Our power (or mana) scores are determined 75% from str, and 25% from wisdom if I remember correctly. If you get those 4 stats built up, then you will be doin ok. I mostly concentrate on stamina and agility. You get defense stance, group buffs, and other things to help your agility. And most plate gear has str.ThundaarrUnrest<Nightcap><div></div>

<div>Good post Thundaarr, but you forgot mitigation! Along with sta, agi, str, wis (and in a lesser degree, int for increased spell dmg), you always need to consider mitigation. Since you are new to the class, I will just remind you that + vs crushing, + vs slashing and + vs peircing actually increases your mitigation against that specific type of damage, so look for that as you are upgrading gear!</div>

I can in order:StaWisAgiStrIntThe gap between wis/agi/str are pretty low and i go for balanced.  Int is not important to me at all really.  Sta is the most important stat for me.  In groups I need to be able to take that one more hit, more than I need to be able to do an extra 20 dmg on a spell.  Most of the skills I use in a group are CAs and use str anyways instead of int.<div></div>

<div></div>You will find as many answers as there are paladins... I put my stock and trade in the following order.StrengthWisdomStaminaIntelligenceAgilityI'll catch a lot of heat for this, but here is my rationale.Strength determines your attack rating as well as your power pool.  Wisdom also determines your power pool and your resists.  Around 90% of the time I'm in defensive mode which lowers attack rating, but increases mitigation and resists.  If I have a high strength and wisdom I can maintain a decent attack rating, absorb a lot of damage from the defensive stance, resist the heck of a non-melee attacks and have a huge power pool.  Why is that power pool important?  Well, if my mititgation is high that means less physical damage is actually landing, my wards are capable of absorbing much of what remains and an occassional heal thrown on myself usually keeps me in the green/high yellow.  The large power pool ensures I can keep those heals and wards going as well as cast damage spells which form the majority of our DPS... I am all about the power pool.  My racial abilities were also geared toward increasing overall power pool and in combat power regen... paired with flowing thought gear where appropriate, I rarely run OOP and if I have power, I win.  Plus we have a group strength/wisdom buff so its easy to really push our power pool and resists pretty high with the right gear and adept 3s.Stamina is less important as mentioned because I focus on the wards and heals and effectively use the health I do have.  Plus there is a lot of gear out there with extra health on it... some pieces are quite insane.Intelligence is what determines our spell damage, and as mentioned, most of our DPS is spell related.  When I drop into defensive stance I get a wisdom boost and my intelligence remains stagnant.  I was thrilled to see the new Xegonite Devout armor has Strength, Stamina and Intelligence on it.  Finally I can be defensive, maintain my power pool and resists and do some decent damage.  Some of our damage spells can do an extra 200 damage when intelligence is high enough.  The spell costs the same amount of power to cast whether it is landing for a max 1100 or if it is landing for 1300 plus... so you might as well get what you can out of it.Agility, I don't worry about getting hit quite so much because very little damage actually lands on me for the reasons outlined above.Like I said, this isn't for everybody... everyone knows their own playstyle and through trial and error learns what is best for them.  Not logged in at the moment, but my stats at 62 are the following when defensive:Attack 1025Mitigation 3205Avoidance 38.8Health 5318Power 3298Strength 313Stamina 242Agility 130Intelligence 173Wisdom 265Disease 2108Cold 2166Heat 2386Poison 1622Mental 2639Divine 5366Magic 4462The resists are very easily adjusted for raiding based upon different jewelry that can be substituted out.My armor is curiass of the djinn, xegonite devout for the other slots, xegonite tower shield (replaced with sunderguard at times for resists), vanadium bangles and torque, tacticians hoop earring, some ring that gives 20 to each attribute stat, another ring that slips my mind that has health regen and decent stats, leggiscon for FT, t6 hex dolls for stamina and agility.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Lairdragna on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:27 PM</span></p>

<div>as a pally it really depends on how you want to play your class, if you would rather tank, then you are gonna need to focus on strength and stamina, the strength ups your power, your max melee damage and how much u can carry whereas stamina increases your max hp... (very important)... a bit of wis couldnt hurt either as it ups your resists</div><div> </div><div>if you want to nuke, your int becomes a factor tho</div><div> </div><div>but ultimately its your choice.</div>
