<div>Hi Fellow Paladins</div><div> </div><div>Ok I've read the long post on Paladins AA's but Im still unsure what to get.</div><div> </div><div>The thing is I have a 52 Paladin and 90% of the time I duo with either a Fury or a Monk. Now my main problem with a Paladin is power - I always seem to run out, perhaps I spam moves to much, but his damage output always seems so low. Especially when I solo - can take on yellow maybe with an add or two and I can solo named 43^^^ (the boss eye in Runneye Rulgax for example), but thats with using manastone and basically tanking for about 10 mins.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>So whats the best AA for duo/solo - most of the other post is for large or raid groups.</div><div> </div><div>Im thinking Sta for the defense and Str for attack - but at the same time Int has more damage. In duo mode am I better off forgetting about the extra ward and going for more DPS with STR and Int or WIS???</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Cheers</div><div> </div><div> </div>

I don't know if there's strictly a right answer to your questions. Obviously, as far as the stats go, almost all will be a big help, except for maybe agility which seems suspect. If power is one of your main concerns I would go with STR, since that is our *primary* power attribute, and will also increase your melee/CA damage output. This addresses both concerns you started your post out with. From there, decide whether you want to continue to increase your power pool (WIS--this will also increase all of your resists) or increase your spell damage (INT).And just to be clear, STA gives you HP, not defense. AGI gives defense, though it seems meager.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I"m personally going for STA right now... the immune to 30 hits or 10 secs that is granted at the end of the line is too good to pass up.</p><p>Being we can only get 50 aa's, I'll probably go for INT after that... I'm a strong believer that our damage is fueled by our spell damage... which is fueled by our INT (twinked for dps, my ROF hits for over 1400) ( and I heard one of the level increases our chances to proc a critical hit... I think it's int)</p>

<div></div><p>I wouldn't bother putting more than 4 in any stat AA, even if it is a useful one. You can easily get a lot more use from those points by investing in the actual AA skills, which scale to your level rather than a set stat bonus.</p><p>Personally, I am going INT for the spell critical hits, possibly healing critical, but I'm not sure if I really am going to invest in that because I don't think wards can be criticaled. I'm in the middle between STA and STR. I'm leaning towards STA for the final ability and improved critical hit rate. The extra attack speed from STR and a reduced casting time (less chance to be interrupted) do look tempting, I'm probably taking STA.</p>

<div></div><p>Just remember, what ever you pick, it's capped at 50.</p><p>Maxing a line out will cost you 40 (+1 for the starting aa), the minimum you need to get to the end is 24 (+1). This means you can max out one line and have 9 extra, or you can get to the end of two if you do the minimum and have one leftover.</p>

<div>As people have stated previously, the best we can really offer is our own preference. From there you can base your decisions <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>I personally am well into the STA line, I too believe that Divine Aura, although somewhat mitigated in raids due to the 50% of hitpoints stipulation, is a massive tool to use in group and solo engagements. I am going to max out STA line using 24 points (every tier to minimum level, unlocking the next) I am going for hitpoints mainly and only need enough AA to get innate haste to level 4 or so. The rest will be STA/HP based, I may train AGI to lvl 4 but I too think it is not worth the points.</div><div> </div><div>Just my 2cp. Hope it helps)</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Antiope 65 Paladin Oasis</div>

<div></div><div>How do you get 24 to go down a line?</div><div> </div><div>isn't it 1 to start then 17 to go down a line (4 skills x 4 points each plus 1 point in the last skill in that line)</div><div> </div><div>1 to start, 17 x 2 to get down 2 lines , then 15 left over to put where you wish.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>EDIT*</div><div> </div><div>Ahh nm i just found out that the last skill in a line takes 8 points</div><p>Message Edited by Vickrum on <span class="date_text">03-12-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:47 AM</span></p>

<div>Personaly i am starting with the wisdom line, basicly because as a paladin we need all the wisdom we can use and the immunity to fear is simply to good to pass up, however the second a item that gives the same effect is released i will respec<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Afterwards i am a bit torn between int and str line, str seems nice with the extra hate generation and all, where the int seems really good with extra crit to spells when you aint mt...</div>
