View Full Version : Slight concern about paladin, and probably all fighter AAs

<div>After reading the AA lists, I have noticed a trend that most hate increasing AAs require an axe. Also one of the paladin's final AAs requires a spear... Now im all for crucifying the mobs, but being limited to specific weapons is gonna make roleplaying for some people more difficult. Some of the fighter AAs are gonna make people start saying, "you're the tank, where is your axe?" Then if I do focus on the path that leads to the spear attack, I think its the STR path, I need to carry a spear with me. And personally, my piercing skill is about.... 0/300. So I would have to get a longsword, which is my traditional weapon, an axe to tank, and a spear to do my new attack... Thats gonna suck.</div><div> </div><div>My suggestion is simple. Those AAs that increase hate generation, or provide a special attack, just make them useable with all weapons. Then we get our AAs, and we get to keep roleplaying or whatever.</div>

You should be carrying one of each dmg type anyways.  Just when you get your T7 ones make them axe, spear and club or something.<div></div>

<div></div><p>We have no Epic Axes or Spears, [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]!! :smileymad:</p><p>Why not make the Axe "Slashing Weapons" instead,  we are also limited in using 1h Spears, there arent many about and those that are are pretty crappy, so if using a spear we cant use sheild because the only decent spears are 2h?? :smileysurprised:</p>

Maybe to increase the demand for axes and spears.  The non dual wield ones dont sell all that well.<div></div>

<div>Imbued Cobalt assault Axe was also the weapon of choice for Legendary T6 though, and perhaps still amoung the most common weapons out there for those unable to get fabled. The path of strength is meant for  providing us with a DPS option in AA"s. (2 levels of Haste? Lessend spell recovery times?) The increased hate is, I'm sure, going to be nice for holding agro but the AA line itself is built for increased damage... Not better tanking abilities.</div><div> </div><div>After all I went to to finish the bloody peacock quests, I'd be upset if my DPS AA line  -didn't- use an axe.</div>

I feel it would be better if say instead of an axe it requires a slashing weapon. Same with the spear one would require a Piercing. Allows more choice in what type of weapon you use and since choice in equipment is a constant complaint in this game I think this would at least be a step in the right direction.
