<div>For reference, my pally alt is 29th season....</div><div> </div><div>When I'm on the offensive, I go with a two-handed. When on the defensive (tanking), one-handed + kite shield.</div><div> </div><div>My own personal preference is to go with a claymore for my two-handed weapon, but these days I favor my Shiny Brass Halbard since it pretty much beats everything else in my arsenal. I also keep on-hand a two-handed hammer for bashing skeles.</div><div> </div><div>My one-handed arsenal follows the same lines. I favor my steel longsword since it is the best one-handed that I have at the moment.</div>

<div></div>I stick with a one hander and shield because I'm partial to our shield bash (the stun gives me enough time to get off a ward or Refusal).

<div>Really a persoanl preference, i hoard way too much equipment but at the least i like to have legendary crushing/slashing/piercing of both a 1 handed and two haded variety and build from there. Heck, if i am in the old grey zones doing cleanup on book quests i will break out the bug zapper weapon from the horrensous bug herding line of quests just for kicks. If you are not tanking white or higher mobs then i will say go 2 handed for the over all high damage range and increased chance of procing on the slowe rated weapons. If you can get a helpful buffer that can increase your 2 handed speed you will be happy with the amount of procs and damage you put out. Like others have said tho if you are main tanking mobs white and above i would say 1 hander and shield or if there looks like you will be offtanking adds or be backup if the tank goes down.</div><div> </div><div>It really is more a matter of preference and situation on what to use, with the change it supposedly removing immunites on alot of the mobs it still is a good idea to keep all of your damage type skills up and rotate your weapons around. One of these days i will get a tier 6 fabled that i really like for a weapon but so far it seems to be dual wield or mage ones that drop, or that blasted scout class bracers that is a door prize in poet's palace...<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div>I do the same here. 1handed +sheild when tanking, great for avoidence and added hate. I use 2 hander when I'm not the main tank. Try getting a EBBC it is kind of a pain to get it electrified, but now that they fixed it, it is a great investment.

SOT quest is bugged at the moment, since the SOT disappears after you first inspect it. Its a known bug. So you can either farm/buy two swords to be able to do it, or sit and wait for Sony to fix it.<div></div>

<div>I would agree with what's being said. </div><div> </div><div>Based on being MT, it depends on what you're fighting and who you have in your group based on the following struggle: staying alive vs doing dps vs maintaining agro.</div><div> </div><div>If we are high on healers low on dps or the mob is green to me, then I sacrifice defense for offense and toss on offensive gear even to the point of sacrificing mitigation, if high on dps and low on healing or the mob is orange, I go defensive so I stay alive, heal and ward myself. </div><div> </div><div>I generally go for the most DPS the mobs/healers allow me to do. With Paly's there is also the issue of power consumption so for the most part I use a one-handed power proc weapon (SM or pris) and rely on my spells to do my dps. If the mobs/healers allow me to get away with it, I swap out my high mit boots for efretti boots, swap out my cobalt tablet for something with int etc.</div><div> </div><div>That said, I rarely go 2 hander, again because of the power problem. Once I get the Pris 2 that will likely change.</div>

<div>I might add that at my current lvl of 55th I find that a Imbued Iron wood shield and imbued Cobalt hammer are a wonderful combination or stats and speed / dmg ratio.</div><div> </div>
