<div></div><div>Hi guys - I have a full set of equipment with rares (cobalt armor, mix of pearl and vanadium jewelry, charmed and ranged slot items) such that I end up with a good mix of STR = 338, INT = 208, WIS = 138.</div><div>Figured I would buy some STR stuff to swap in/out to try a set with heavy STR expecting to see weapon damage go up.  Figured that when I am out of power and need to just autoattack, I could swap STR gear in.</div><div>With STR stuff on, STR=399, but no difference in weapon (melee) damage ?????</div><div>Am I missing something??</div><div>Huze</div>

<div></div><p>Have any parse logs?</p><p>If you're expecting to see a huge jump in your max damage you're in for a disappointment. You won't start going from 100 damage auto attack hits to 300. But your average damage hits will be higher in general (Though a 60 point jump, while nice, isn't likely to provide the 'Wow' factor you may have expected.) I suggest logging a number of combats and comparing your average DPS both before and after.</p>

With that much STR and INT I would give some attention to your Wisdom so you can up your base resists a bit so AEs will not be a painful.<div></div>

The above should be while in offensive stance....Yeah, won't see a huge increase in weapon damage....  Focus more on INT, as your procs will hit for more damage.  I /respeced Righteous Crusade (the Gorious Weapon proc) to Master II, and I've never looked back. It does massive damage when in offensive stance.  Even more when Offensive + INT gear.I parse just about all of my fights.  In your normal, day to day fights, INT is worth more that STR IMHO (for damage).  In long drawn out fights in 50/50.  More damage will come from auto attack, but have 4 to 5 procs getting a boost from INT adds up.<div></div>

Well STR should never really be a focus.  With My gear set for STA and WIS mainly so I can tank well in defense stance.  I was over the STR cap with some to spare.  Most tank gear will have some STR on it.  So your better off focusing else where.<div></div>

Str will -always- remain a focus as long as it provide 3/4th of the bonus for our power pools. To ignore it otherwise is shooting yourself in the foot.

That being said, a focus on Str and Int provides both power and the capability to use it.

With LU19 (I think) coming, WIS will help our power twice as much as it is now - it's still not our primary power pool stat but it works.  In defense stance I have about 3000 power, in offense, it's about 3200.  I'm hoping with the WIS being doubled that defense will be closer to 3100.I focus on Sta/wis/agi as my main stats.  STR and INT are secondary for me tanking, though my STR is still pretty high (and my AGI is low unfortunetly atm).  Also I took the +5 power regen training twice - this lowers my HP about 300 at level 60 but the +10 power regen in combat is awesome in situations where power becomes drained, or when chain pulling. <div></div>
