<div></div><div>Curious on what I can do different, or what are some fo the agro tricks out there.</div><div>My main grouping involves myself and two rangers, me being 56 and they being 57.</div><div>For example with a triple giant or group or naga flame walkers fight goes like this for me:</div><div>Pull with our ranged DD,</div><div>Zealous preaching when its in range, (master II)</div><div>Clarion Call, (Adept I)</div><div>Righteous Dash, (Adept III)</div><div>Demonstration of Devotion (AdeptIII)Blessed Rush (Adept I)</div><div>And here it varies, if stun failed, use Destroy Will (stun), or heal myself depending on incoming damage, sometimes just throw out a Zealous Strike.</div><div>Then repeat with tuants as they refresh, since i'm in charge of healing myself, ward is always up when possible and I time my stuns, throwing my utility spells between them.</div><div>I will usualy throw our group heal if possible closer to beginning of fight, and Sigil in the middle, depending on how fast the mob is dieing.</div><div> </div><div>I should mention Amends (Adept I...I know its being made to Adept III as we speak) is on a ranger.   I almost always lose agro with the mob around 10%...no big deal, a stun or two and its usually dead and the ranger lives....now the rangers are all out on dps of course, which from other posts means I probably doing a good job, but they laugh about it, and bug me....anyway I can show them up hehe.</div><div> </div><div>I do use buffs, in groups sometimes, which buffs are prefered for generating agro, basiaclly I vary them, but are there buffs that you cast that generate more then others?  We only got a few to choose from really...</div><div> </div><div>Jsut curious what other things we can do, oh I usually try to get off a herioc real quick at the beginning of fights, and i make sure I get zealous preaching off before the rangers start dpsing.</div><div> </div><div>Thx,</div><div>Cyke</div><div>56 Paladin</div><div>Council of Grey</div><div>Mistmoor</div><div> </div>

throw amends on the warlock, taunt once, go eat a sandwhich, taunt again just to make sure it doesnt peel off, go afk again, come back, mobs dead <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

What you are doing looks good.   You can ward yourself before you pull, that will always help in getting initial aggro.Besides that, make sure you have amends on one of them who does not have a hate transfer on you.  And make sure the other does have a hate transfer on you.  I have never used toggle buffs for aggro in group or raid.  I don't think they are intended to be needed for aggro, or at least IMO they aren't needed for aggro.  They are more needed to be always up and doing their job.<div></div>

Amends on highest DPSerward selfpull with Decree if group, otherwise JudgementZealous, Clarion, switch targets, DashIf safe, use Conviction and Holy Symbol AOEs if multiple mobsFor multiple groups at once, cast Sigil right after you pull, then use your AOEs and Consecrate to gain more agro - when Sigil is cast, recast amends on your amends target (because of the bug)<div></div>

Yup, your doing good.  Make sure to re-cast amends every now and again, as it seems to be over written by some agro de-buffers and such.<div></div>

<div>I got to the line that mentioned 2 rangers and laughed before continuing to read.  You are doing everything right. Nothing you can do with 2 rangers in the group that doesnt involve the one without amends calming down.</div>

This is what I do:Degree, preach, conviction, holy symbol.  At this point I sit back and let power regen... maybe throw a taunt, bash or kick.  But after this, with amends, I rarely have agro problem and I tank 90% of the time including poets.  If it's a higher mob.. then I continue to taunt.  I rarely use sigil... and hold back consecrate until I"m bored and pull 3 or 4 mobs at once... or when we get into trouble and I need agro now.I rarely worry about using my aoe (except the top floor in poets)... my thoughts is most mobs are agro... if they're close enough to be pulled in my aoe... they're close enough to agro.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div>I group with paladins quite a bit, especially because of Amends.  I peel mobs off other tanks way too easy.  Anyway I wanted to post here to say if you are grouped with a conjuror, put Amends on the pet, not the conjuror.  The pet does a ton more damage than I do.  :p  <em>Unless</em> of course your conjuror is a noob and you see them using the rock pet which has poor DPS.</div><p>Message Edited by StaticLex on <span class="date_text">01-20-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:34 AM</span></p>

<div>sounds and looks good.  only things i can add is try and use your ae's sooner, as the 1st person to the hit mob generates the most hate initailly. for single targets not a worry but for grps this works very well.  and also try and get a tuant finishing HO off as early as you can. that works for me, well, even on raid mobs..</div>

<div></div><p>Remember you can use "Rescue" to get aggro back once they steal it.  (long recast timer)</p><p>Then u can say "HAHA stole it back!"</p><p> </p>

BTT: as a nearly always tanking Pally I can say nothing more than: you are doing just fine, there isn't much potential for aggro generation left.Just tell the ranger with the higher DPS/better poisons/trigger happier fingers to cancel HIS hate reducer and put amends on him. Hardest scenario I have to manage is a setup of 2 or 3 single target burst DPS classes, so you have to be sure that your amends candidate is always on no. 2 of the hate table and giving maximun hate to you.Grab a drink and lean back, you won't need your taunts anymore ;D
