<div>I'm level 57, and looking for a two handed cobalt weapon to be made. What should I look for in a two handed cobalt weapon, most likely a slash type?</div><div> </div><div>If anyone has any suggestions as to to other, ie crushing or peircing, please let me know, and thanks for your time.</div>

They all have a 62.1 dmg rating, so its really more of a matter of preference, or what you like to role play. I have an ogre zerker, so I happen to be fond of the battle hammers and greatswords, but you really can't go wrong. Compare the stats: <a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/search/items_results.php?na=1&item_name=cobalt&is_weapontype=Two-Hand">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/search/items_results.php?na=1&item_name=cobalt&is_weapontype=Two-Hand</a>The War Hammer has the crushing, the Greatspear is piece, and the rest are slash weapons.<div></div>

<div></div>Go for an ironwood pike if you want a cheaper piercer - same stats as cobalt.

Same as Ironwood Club - same stats as crushing Cobalt. That is what I did, until I got my T6 Fabled 1h's - since they have a higher damage rating then 2h cobalts.<div></div>

<div>All cobalt 2H have the same damage rating.</div><div> </div><div>[Removed for Content] sword has the fastest slash rate of the 2H I have noticed--and I am a level 60 weaponsmith so I have made a variety. Logically you would do a little more damage with your procs hitting faster.</div><div> </div><div>Here is something else I had not realized--imbuding your weapon drops the stats (i.e. str, stam). Think about whether you want to do that.</div>

Before the imbuing, it depends on the weapon whether the stats actually drop or raise (I like to think of it as an adjustment to stats).Excellent point about the [Removed for Content] sword though. While the damage rating is the same for all weapons, the faster swing may be something you like. The [Removed for Content] sword also looks really cool. I personally like the Executioners Axe simply because of the look and the fact that the hits are highest (swings slowest). But that's just cause I like to see big numbers. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><p>If you are MT there are less ripostes from slower weapons and less delays to your spells/CA's due to less swings.</p><p>Faster weapons should even out your agro slightly better form DPS damage.</p><p>I think procs were changed to do a set amount per minute regardless of speed? Not sure about that...</p>

<div>The weapons i use are ironwood pike for piercing, the cobalt executioners axe for slashing and the cobalt greatmace for crushing, i have had alot of fun with them so far but hope to get the argent [Removed for Content] sword from silent city. For the one handers are ironwood club the cobalt spear and the cobalt assault axe. Course I lean towards axes as a dwarf...<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div>

<div></div><div>I used the [Removed for Content] sword, with a drige or corcerer in our raid grps the haste buffs was very nice dmg. now i have this.</div><div><a href="http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/boostedtoy/detail?.dir=/142a&.dnm=9a1dre2.jpg&.src=ph" target="_blank">http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/boostedtoy/detail?.dir=/142a&.dnm=9a1dre2.jpg&.src=ph</a></div><div>drops off the Prismatic Captin in Court of Al'Afaz</div><div> </div><div>but still use the Greathammer and Ironwood pike. alot of T6 mobs are resisant or immune to certain melee attacks. so I have all 3 in both 1h and 2h.</div><p>Message Edited by Wil81115 on <span class="date_text">01-25-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:22 AM</span></p>
