Why as a defensive minded tank, are 2 of my 4 maintained buffs group offensive weapon procs? Sure my dps sucks as it is, and taking them away would lower it even more, but I'm not interested in my dps. If i wanted to deal mass damage, i'd go play my 60 Ranger and watch the numbers fly by. I guess I should be happy that they are at least group wide and can help my group's dps. What i'd like to see is, leaving one as it is, a little utility isn't bad (i guess), and make the other one a little more defensive oriented. Maybe a Stamina buff, increase defense or Mitigation.

Let me know what you think.

And we have a hitpoint buff, granted it's not huge,. And if your tanking, the extra aggro for the procs going off when you swing is always a good thing imo.

But I do feel we are missing something hehe, I can only fill 4 of my con slots. Kinda feels like a waste some times hehe.

That's our defensive stance you're referring to. But now that i re-read the description, it does seem like a mit/defense buff would be doubling up on the same thing, and not necessarily an equal thing. The Hitpoint buff you refer to is indeed miniscule 251hp at A3. I definetely don't want to turn this into a Paladin vs Guardian debate, as I know they have their own problems, but their HP buff gives 447hps, to ALL group members as well. They also have a STA buff that gives +46 STA. I know we get our heals to help offset this imbalance, but seriously how many times do these heals get inturrupted, especially fighting raid level mobs.

You mention the extra aggro from the procs as well, this is a good thing, but the buffs are group wide, so somebody hitting more often than me (every melee dps class) is getting more procs than I am. i.e. generating more aggro from them. Not a big problem as I hold aggro well.

This is not meant to be a gripe-fest, I am 90% pleased with my Paladin, and LU13 helped him alot more than hurting him. Even with the modification to Amends, I have no problems holding aggro, and feel the devs have done a great job fixing any Paladin problems. (We'll just ignore our lvl 58 Ancient Teachings scroll for now. I forget the name, because it's lost in my spell book somewhere)

Message Edited by dubbs on 01-01-2006 07:45 AM
