Well, I'll be.  It is paladin only (well, warriors also).  Not that it makes any sense really.  Ghoulbane is 12 levels lower and only works against undead whereas EBBC will proc against anything.<div></div>

*boggle* GB actually is Pally only?

The thing about GB is that it has a 100% chance of going off on a successful hit.All the other proc weapons have a % chance that it will go off at all.This makes GB act like you have a DS going off.

I have not completed the quest but everyone is saying they can't use their weapon anymore.This just better be an oversight. I was going to do this as my primary 2h weapon since paying for weapons every tier (imbued rare) is just not feasible x2.I may say screw it and not do the quest for a while then.

Wow... That would be disappointing if it stays this way. I just started this quest last week. Got lucky mentoring a friend in Stormhold and got my Sword of Thunder. Started the BBC next day and am now 600+ sentients in. Was hoping to finish it by Friday. Bummer...

Bah! I WAS using EBBC as my main weapon. I don't think this change is really needed. Even from an RP standpoint - who says a Paladin can't fall from light? <P>I really wanna express just how [Removed for Content] off i am about this change to sony,  I really dont care that the ebbc is an evil sword!!  I took a break from eq2 4 months ago, but just before i left, I did this quest and completed it to make the ebbc!  I was only 43 when i got it, so i didnt get to use it before i left, well today, i just spent 4 hours soloing my way to level 44 for the sole purpose of using my new treasure, only to find out that this sword is no longer usable by the pally class!!!  </P> <P> </P> <P>I really feel ripped right off now!   </P>

Yup Ive noticed the damage is down as well,  seems to affect my other weapons.  Unyielding Wrath and Benediction dont change it for me up or down the damage stays the same. <div></div>

Yeah I don't get it.  I believe it was rated at 51.5 before the nerf, now it's 44.  That's nearly a 15% degradation in effectiveness.  Now, there are many easier to get, somewhat mundane weapons that are as good or better.  And the version notes don't say anything about the nerf.  Guess I'll hang it on the wall now and get something else...
