Wow pally quest is hard!

<DIV>Well im a noob so bear with me. I got to lvl 18 and thought id try my devine hand at becoming a paladin. Well needless to say i got chewed up by the lvl 20s in the instanced zone. So tonight i got to lvl 19 with the help of a friend and thought id try agine. Well i killed one of the lvl 20s with a tiny bit of health left and then promtly got killed. so i was wondering how all the other paladins got to be the devine? thanx!</DIV>

By picking your fights carefully.You only actually have to kill a few Mobs in that instance. You should avoid they higher level wandering group mobs, heading right along the zone wall to rescue the captives ASAP, then get out quickly again, being careful not to bump into the wandering groups.

I like the class selection quests in that they teach a very important skill: discretion.  It is not always necessary or wise to kill everything that moves.  Often there is a better way to attack the problem.  While paladins certainly aren't a stealth class, there is no law that prevents us from picking our battles carefully so to maximize effectiveness.  In other words: red mobs are bad.  Avoid them until you have the tools to best them in combat. <div></div>

<DIV>Ok I just attempted this quest last night.  I killed everything in that zone that wasnt heroic.  My quest log never updated and I was left with the choice of trying to kill the heroics..  Well that obviously ended up with me eating dirt.  Is there a chance I got bugged or somthing?</DIV>

Trying to remember... but it was so long ago. Pretty sure you have to talk to the people you were rescuing to get them to leave. Then a dwarf shows up and you have to talk to him to end the quest. That is how I recall it. <div></div>

<P>As I recall, you have to click on the gate to the pen they are in.  It has been a LONG time since I've done this quest so don't hold me to it.</P> <P> </P> <P>Do NOT try to kill the heroics!  You will not win the day, period.  When I went through there I don't recall fighting anything at all.  Just helped the prisoners escape, then ran to the exit like a little girl...next thing I knew I was a Paladin, and ocasionally STILL running for exits like a little girl...:smileywink:</P>

<DIV>Ill chime in with my little noob opinion here:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.  You only have to kil about 6-7 Gnolls to get to the prisoners.</DIV> <DIV>2.  Like someone said earlier stay against the wall and ignore anything that doesnt aggro you.</DIV> <DIV>3.  Once you kill the Gnolls in front of the gate, choose to open the gate quietly.  We will need to do this several times until the gate opens</DIV> <DIV>4.  Once that happens talk to the captives and they will run out.</DIV> <DIV>5.  You run out after them while dodging the Gnolls</DIV> <DIV>6.  Talk to the little guy to at the entrance to zone out</DIV> <DIV>7.  If your not level 20 yet go grind up to it.  When you reach 20 you are now a Pally.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>:smileywink:</DIV>
